Mixing water and oil based steroids

ad

hey bros, whats the general opinion on mixing oil and water based steroid? i dont think there is a problem but i wanna know what the general opinions is...and if its bad why? thanks

yeah everybody has been saying dont do it but I have done it many times with no problems. But its been a while since I done it. think I used to load oil first then water that way im not pressing down hard on plunger to get oil out and then when it hits water it just fly's in there. best to pin water part first then oil.

I don't shake the pin up when I use suspension with an oil like i would if I mixed up a couple of oils.

Stays separate in the pin and I'm sure this must help with absorption. Gotta say given the choice I'd prefer to pin it separate but it cuts down on the amount pins if you can plan to pin it with the oil gear when that time comes around.

You can shake it till your arm falls off, it won't change anything with absorption. The esters of the compound are not gonna change or absorb any differently if it's separate or mixed.

Never had a problem with a little lava lamp action. I was taught that it was ok to mix many years ago and never had an issue to speak of

I have seen it go both ways, but me I wouldn't mix. I have never seen water and oil mix well together in any circumstance just like cooking oil and water, motor oil and water, or any oil and water... I know not the same but oil and water just doesn't mix well just to chemically different to mix well.....Just my opinion is all...........

Like i said i have seen it done both was some say ok and some say no.......

There's no reason for it to mix or no need for it to mix.

The water will go its way and absorb quickly, the oil will do its own thing.

I guess that's a good point, but seem like maybe there would be some difficulty in filling the pin. Guess it all depends on the source as well.

Bump to see if anyone has anymore information on this subject.

I personally have injected test suspension with an oil based test on number of occasions but I recently read that it shouldn't be done, thoughts?

I've done it with suspension also. Seems to lube up the pin a bit. Never had an issue. Where did you read that it shouldn't be done

GrowMore's picture

It was on a well respected BB forum, I'm not a member on it so I couldn't ask but quiet a few members said "don't mix water based with oil".

It makes sense to and works like a match made in heaven.

I think it also cuts the pip a little. I'll continue to do it. I'm searching for a new source for it. The one I was using disappeared recently and isn't returning.

Sent you a fr. The suspension i used was shit hot and pinned so easily, bit of pip on it's own but great with oil.

I've heard not to do it but I have and had no issue. I had some test susp that wouldn't go through anything and when I mixed it with oil it actually didn't clog for once.

I've had to do the exact same thing with a water based test suspension. Very interesting... Like you I have heard many people say not to do it but once the water based suspension was in the syringe I realized that mixing it an oil was the only way it was going to clear the needle

Never had much luck with that. The oil and water don't mix and usually jams up the needle creating a mess. Much better off doing each on their own.
