+ 2 The Dangers of Prohormones
Hi, all. I would like to share with you my recent feelings about prohormones. I have seen a friend of
mine have his hair line retreat infront of me after a few cycles of this stuff. I have also read and heard so many
horror stories about this stuff, that I wanted to quicky go over what I know about prohormones, and why no one
should ever take them again. There is no real benefit, just alot of devastating side effects and misery. There was a time when they were legal.
That was the only reason why anyone did them. Now they are illegal in most devloped countries. I still here people taking them,
and in the forums I keep hearing people asking about where they can get them. So I wanted to make things right this afernoon.
Here are some Facts on prohormones.
-Pro hormones are some of the most toxic things you can possibly put into your body.
-They leave very little in the terms of keepable gains post cycle.
-Most pro hormones aromatize heavily and lead to estrogen related side effects.
-Prohormones have devestating side effects on the body, especially the liver.
-The only advantage of pro hormones is that they were legal, that's all.
-They arent as effective or safe as real anabolic steroids.
SIDE EFFECTS OF PROHOMORMONES
— Acne
— Hypertension
— Swollen Prostate
— Liver Damage
— Breast Enlargement
— Hair Loss
— Headaches
— Dizziness And Nausea
As mentioned above, your liver takes an absolute beating when you’re taking prohormone supplements.
Even if you’re careful with your dosage and don’t drink while taking prohormones,
you should still be taking a liver support supplement.
The worst part about taking prohormones is that the results usually don’t last.
After you stop taking prohormones, your body will return to its natural hormonal production.
If you’re lucky. If you didn’t cycle correctly, then your body will stop producing testosterone altogether,
which means you’ll be much worse off than you were before.
So, I hope you all learned something today. Prohormones are terrable, never spend money on them. You can spend money on something that will perminantly damage you
just to get a few short term gains. Its totally pointless and pure evil.

They are not worth it to the recreational user. Maybe to the serious bb who needs to extra bulk for a show but any rec user I know laughs when someone asks if they're on it. Not worth the risks. Plus there are more suitable choices, prohormones are back shelved
AnonGreat post bro. I'll come out and be honest just to share some of the horror stories of pro hormones. To hopefully keep younger guys from ever touching that shit. I'm only 27 years old, did pro hormones when I was 18. Yes I know very very very stupid on my part. Pretty sure it was epi and super drol. I was young and naive and shit, I ran that for eight weeks straight. Lost everything like this post says, my recovery took YEARS. I didn't feel "right" for multiple years. Finally get blood work done when I was 23. I was in the 500 range for test. Which I know it's lower from my the pro hormone abuse. I know Deep down I fucked my self for the future when it comes to my test levels. Luckily I didn't cause any harm relating organs (besides my balls) hah. But if I just wasn't so dumb and naive I would have never have touched that shit. It's complete garbage. I'm glad they got that stuff off the shelves. Because there is dumb asses like I was that would take it. I knew some buddies that literally took pro hormones for EIGHT MONTHS STRAIGHT!
bigurielHow do you figure your test in the 500 range is low from pro hormone abuse? 500s is actually perfectly normal.
Epi and superdrol are actually two I rate. I've used superdrol a bunch of times and never had any problems recovering. If you have such an issue recovering from it you will also have problems recovering from AAS because they are the same damn thing.
Obviously people thinking these are "supplements" you can stay on for months on end is idiotic, same as oral AAS, and that is a problem that, again, originates from ignorance and not realizing that these substances ARE FRICKING AAS!
AnonYeah that's exactly part of the problem when these things came out brother. They were sold at every weight lifting supplement shop sold as just an every day supp. I completely agree with you, it's complete ignorance. But like most 18 year olds, don't put two and two together and do the research and cause some serious damage
Agreed!!! Sd and epi are my personal favorites to kick start a cycle with (depending on goals). Actually trying to decide which one I'm going to use for my upcoming recomp.
And yes these are AAS. Just be smart and take your cycle support supps when you run something strong like Sd (krill oil, liv 52, red yeast rice and so on). I never go past 3 weeks with Sd and I usually run it 10, 20,20 and always get great results and no sides.

Many of the original PH's were actually steroids. Superdrol and M1T come to mind and are very effective if you know how to use them. The stuff they are trying to push now is far gone from anything that seems anabolic and you might as well buy the latest miracle from GNC, because that is about as effective as they are going to be.
The reason those PH's are so damaging is because of the idiots who were using them. Nobody gave a crap that they were methylated and didn't protect accordingly. Just like oral only steroid cycles are stupid, the same thing applies to these PH's. Some of them are an effective tool in a bodybuilders toolbox who knows how to use them.
Yup, Sd is the shit! As I posted above you have to take your cycle assist supplements with Sd and other strong orals. I only use it for 3 weeks as a kick at 10, 20, 20 and always get great results.
Side note: recently found a site that still sells epi and msten. Definitely placing a order of the epi. It's not overpriced either!
You are absolutely correct. Ignorance and stupidity are the problem. There was a pretty long list of "prohormones" back in the day that were actually steroids that were never produced commercially and the patents had run out. This knowledge is nothing new but you will still hear people calling sdrol & m1t a prohormone. Of course people had problems with these. They were unknowingly taking methylated oral only cycles that happen to also be very harsh and powerful. Lucky the problems weren't worse.
Your absolutely right! Some were just toutes as prohormones for legal looholes but were pretty effective designer oral AAS. M1T, SUPERDROL,PPLEX,,to name a few.

Now that these are all banned in the US the supp companies are putting out all sorts of crap as an attempt to replace them. From research chemicals that cause cancer to mixed herbal crap that costs a fortune and does jack shit.
bigurielThis list looks like it was written 15 years ago. For the record there are very few prohormones on the market today and most things sold as such are simply legal oral steroids. Remember dbol and anadrol were perfectly legal once too.
There's a surprising amount of ignorance among steroid users about these substances. You would think that with the two being so closely related people would want to get informed.
bigmurphI used prehormones 15 years ago and I experienced no bad sides from them but as time went on and less were legal at the end what was left on the market were the substances that were the worst for you so I agree any prehormones that are out there are not worth taking and are worse for you than the gains you will receive from them
RustyhookerWhen they first started some 20 years ago, they were first generation and worked to a degree. As they became illegal the chemical makups changed to now be legal BUT the actions faded as health hazards rose. So figure taking the same test pro hormone and chemically tweaking it for 20 years. What you have is unhealthy sales. A chemical so far removed from the parent, its bunk.
