+ 2 High calorie drink without spending a lot of $$$
For me in taking a high amount of calories is not as easy as people make it seem. Especially if you have a busy schedule you won't always have time to cook your meals as you want. Mass/weight gainers are good but paying about $50 - $60 for a 8 serving 1,000+ calorie weight gainer is pretty ridiculous. I put together a high calorie drink which also has a decent amount of proteins for a fraction of the cost of a weight gainer.
2 cups of whole milk - 320 calories 16g of proteins
2 tbsp of peanut butter - 190 calories 7g of proteins
2 tbsp of olive oil - 240 calories 0g of proteins
2 tbsp of chocolate syrup - 90 calories 0g of proteins
1 cup of Oats - 300 calories 5g of proteins
Total - 1,140 calories 24g of proteins
Not bad to take once in the morning and once a bit before going to sleep. As for the price you can't really beat it. Besides having to buy the milk throughout the week everything else last a while before having to buy again.
You can also add half a banana or anything you feel will raise the calories and not affect the taste.

I do a drink similar to that, but I also put in
1 cup of granola
1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp of whole flaxseed meal
1 cup of frozen mixed fruit
1 scoop of whey protein
I'll make this drink 2x a day when I'm bulking
I've been doing something similar, it's the best way I've found to get my calories in since I also have been having a hard time hitting my calorie goal.
2 cups 2% milk
1 cup egg whites
2 tbsp PB
1 scoop whey
1 cup oats
and the occasional banana
I might come up with a concoction that incorporates broccoli or spinach in it but I haven't started experimenting yet.
I
I do this as well 2x's a day with the same ingredients minus the choc syrup along with about half a scoop of whey.
Definitely good if you plan on taking more then one serving a day lol . Lot more for your money. As far as calories.
