Anyone familiar with Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan or Sodium Hyaluronate?

ad

I have used PG before for my joints with success. The brand name for this stuff is called Adequan, but there are generic versions out there for much cheaper. This is stuff is used on horses and dogs mostly, and if you read online the success people have with it is amazing (and many try it on themselves). Again, I have used PG before and it works.

My question concerns SH. Anyone familiar. I ordered some after researching, but it seems that it is generally administered intra articular (into the joint). Anyone used this before? I am going to research some more, but just wanted to see if anyone has experience. I realize these are not AAS, but I figured best place to put it was here. The SH would be for my ankle and knee, FYI.

I tried like hell to get ahold of some Adequan, and it seemed impossible without a vet script.

I'm wondering as to where the OP got his, it's all pretty much unobtainable without a script.

FR accepted. Can I share my source in the forum? I'm glad to finally know something y'all don't ha. Y'all know way more about AAS than I do.

Intra joint injections are pretty serious, for the knee you need to be reaching 1.5" into a joint, and many many things can go wrong. Have you tried adequan personally? I have a question about it.

The previous stuff I have used was called Chondroprotec 10/ML / 1000mg (100mg per ML)

ICHON is basically the same as the Chondro and Adequan.

I have tried a generic version of Adequan, and now I have Ichon. I did weeks of research, and the best info I got was from vets themselves and horse/dog owners online. It IS ok for humans, period. There was a human version okayed in Europe I believe, but I am not sure of that. Many vets and animal owners have used it on themselves with great results, and like I said I have used before and can tell a difference. I have really only used it short term, though, and I am thinking about using it longer to see if I get increased benefits.
As for the SH, I am embarrassed to say that I ordered it thinking it was also IM injection. Doing a joint injection myself is probably NOT going to happen ha ha.

Sodium H has a good track record of use in large dog breeds for joint issues such as OCD and arthritis in knee, hip and elbow joints. Also used in various capacities in eye surgery and treatment such as cataract removal.

Data really suggests only worthwhile using for joint issues as an injection rather than the oral form. Not something for the unskilled non professional medic to attempt in my opinion.

Any idea if it can be injected IM?

You'd be wasting your time. Needs to go into the joint.

That's what I thought thanks Catalyst

I have the injection forms of both. I will see if I can get a doc friend of mine to help me.
