Possible Cycles Frank Zane might of used if any?
ad
Jus wondering what everyone thought of Frank Zane and what kind of gear he could of cycled back in his day. The look he had was great compared to the guys nowadays but that is just my opinion. Just looking at the muscles like the abs of Frank compared to the abs of Heath the Gift are just like night and day. I guess back then quality was better then quantity, but how would that sit if someone with the body and make up of Zane were to win and beat out guys like The Gift. I doubt that will ever happen but just a thought>

Frank Zane's boby wouldnt win Mr. Idaho today.... my how things have changed.
Every physique competitor likes to think they are Zane. The reality is, physique should just be renamed "pecs and abs" class. Skinny arms and legs have no appeal to me. HGH is what changed the world of bodybuilding. Shawn Ray was probably the last contender with a classic look.
Sadik Hadzovic is far from pecs n abs, he's got every body part on point imo. And the majority of them train legs, it's ignorant to just tar all physique guy's with the same brush.
AnonSadik trains legs like a beast ... Ive seen him a few times and dam that dude goes HAM
Training legs and having legs are two different things.
Even if we knew what they used we would never get the same results
RustyhookerWhy not?
StevebGenetics are a big factor.
RustyhookerVery true. Wasn't sure if he meant genetics or if he was kicking rocks.
StevebAnyone can get bigger. But for example Ronnie Coleman could never look like Serge Nubret or vice versa. Classic Ectomorph and Mesomorph body types.
Serge had a 28" waist with 20"+ arms, thats unheard of now a days.
RustyhookerRonnie was just HUGE! I like the classic taper more than the blocky look. The last heavy weight I enjoyed watching was Schlierkamp. Spelling probably off..lol.
I know Arnold glorified Primobolan, but he was also very deceptive. Why would he give up his secret so easy? Maybe his favorite compound was almighty Parabolan. Maybe he thought it would be hilarious if he pointed everyone towards such "gurrlie" compound.
Bro, apparently they exclusively took anavar.
StevebPrimo
I'm building up my primo stash now so I'll see if I can get that zane look for my next comp.
StevebEvery time I want to do a Primo cycle I add up how much it will cost for pharma Primo. And then I decide not to use Primo.
Lol yup same here
Still impressed how dudes like Arnold, Sergio Oliva & Frank Zane achieve such of impressive physiques without Slin & GH...
Frank Zane if I'm not mistaken, won a Mr Olimpia at 190 pounds only :o
You think they weren't using gh and slin......I've heard differently from a pretty reliable source. But still arnold only competed st about 230 at almost 6'2. With good genetics that totally possivle without gh and slin.
If I'm not mistaken(and this is for what I've read on other forums) they used of Course Test & also high doses of Primobolan along with some Dbol like year round. But no one knows for sure unless they lay out their secrets. Till this day Frank Zane has the physique I want.
True that RickRock
The deal with Zane is that he was one of the most symmetrical dudes there ever was. Has a lot to do with genetics I think. Who knows what he was using at the time, but I am pretty sure it is nothing like what todays BB's are using.
Dude was symmetrical alright. I'm sure he dabbled in a little bit of something being that you could get whatever over the counter. Also if I'm not mistaken wasn't HGH not synthesized until 1985? That's probably the big difference from the bodybuilders back then till now.
RustyhookerHis deal was all foods. Last pix I saw he still looked super in shape. He might have ran light cycles but compare him to today's bikini competitors. The bikini dudes carry more mass. That's genetics!
And he was a t3 junkie. Word on tj street is he's oh thyroid replacemtj therapy now because of his abuse of cytomel back in the day
Most bikini or whatever you call it have nothing besides a chest zane for his size had everything lee preist win the iron man at 199 hes shorter yes but both bodybuilders displayed great form and zane beat mentzer which of whom i m a great fan also this bikini is bull shit and for you to say zane is that is bullshit bro do you realize all the great bb he beat to win those titles i guess not for being an idoit with a comment like that those guys wear shorts no leg s man.
RustyhookerYou've misread all that completely. If zany stepped on stage now at 199 he wouldn't even make an amateur npp gig. If he competed in fitness, sure he may hold his own. But either route, you greatly misread that entire statement.
RustyhookerAnonDude is FRAIL! ahahahahah just kidding
Without a doubt, one of the most beautifully sculpted physiques ever to grace the professional stage! Symmettry and aesthetics at its finest!
RustyhookerAgree! Today I believe the light heavyweight class and down try to keep asthetics as well as mass. Classic!
Agreed Rusty! Another one of my favorite Bodybuilders from the tail end of the Golden Era was Bob Paris! He carried more mass than Zane but his physique was perfection!
Rory Leidelmeyer also ranks as one of my favorites from that time period!
RustyhookerBob was just flying all over Facebook last month. Had his 25 wedding anniversary. Looked like he's still solid.
Franco was a favorite. Super dense but not looking like cartoon baloon. Shawn ray another one with symmetry.
Agreed Rusty! I don't know if you remember Danny "the giant killer" Padilla? He was another mighty midget standing at 5'2" with a powerful build! So many great and legendary Bodybuilders from that time!
Tink22Thank you for mentioning that name I was trying to find that exact image rusty posted like 2 weeks ago. Lol soon as you mentioned it I knew it was what I was looking for. Really like dudes look.
Your welcome brother! He definitely has a great look!
RustyhookerDanny Padilla! Most definitely! Back in the old weider workout mags. Classic taper but hugely dense. Back then it was garage workouts and those pix pinned up all around
Muscle and fitness and flex! I used to stalk the newsstand waiting for the new issues decades ago! I'm so old! Lol
RustyhookerMe too bro! Back then gear was covered in the stories too. Muscle media 2000 was another fun one.
RustyhookerOh yeah! The Giant Killer himself! What a great build! Thanks so very much for sharing Rusty! :))
RustyhookerDefinitly a great image to achieve!
Without a doubt Rusty! Notice the vacuum pose! When was the last time we saw a proffesional bodybuilder perform this pose???
There is a classic.
RustyhookerI'd love to look like him. Labrada and columbu are my midget heroes, but zane is classic.
Good ol Franco. He was good buddies with Arnold and it always cracked me up seeing pictures of those two training together. The giant and the midget.
RustyhookerThey looked like they had fun too.
RustyhookerYou find the difference! Here's ifbb pro physique.

First you said they were bigger now the same which is it im telling u its apples and oranges i cant see half of this guys body so i really cant compare
RustyhookerIfbb pro light heavyweight. 190-199.
