high blood pressure and pulse

ad

I went to the Dr today for my regular check up and my blood pressure was 134/94 its normally very low. Also my pulse was 107, not good. I'm running NPP 15mg EOD and var 20mg end. I'm assuming its the NPP, var has never done anything to me before. My doc ran a blood panel but it will be a day or two before I get it back.

Thoughts? Should I drop the NPP or wait for bloods?

My blood work came back just perfect. Smile

I wouldn't freak out over those numbers. I have been an ER nurse for13 years so I know a bit about it ;) And with the doses you are on, I don't think it's the NPP or the var. It could have been something as simple as being a bit nervous about seeing the doctor, especially if you don't normally visit them when you are on cycle (some people worry in their heads that the doctor may 'know' what they are taking).

Thanks, I know the NPP dose is low but something is off. My prolactin is high, my libedo is in the toilet. I just feel off. What would a normal dose be?

Wildfyre14's picture

I consider 25mg eod a very low dose for NPP. And even high doses it isn't known for water retention. The NPP can cause the prolactin level to raise and that would decrease libido but it may or may not be the cause from such a low dose. It's usually paired with some kind of test to counteract that but I'm guessing that isn't a route you want to go. I hope you get to feeling better soon Smile

Excellent points.

Thanks for the reply's, I wont panic just yet. I was probably a tad dehydrated. I've never had a reading come back even remotely high, it's normally like 110/70 or some crap like that. Seeing high numbers freaked me out Smile

Here is the deal bud....

You need a resting BP and HR but you also need an active reading as well. Quite frankly you're not sitting around all day and you move more frequently than not - hopefully.

So....

Your top number in your blood pressure is the one that changes with anxiety and activity the most. It's the bottom number that dictates if you're not doing so well. Both are high'ish but you're still pre. Hypertension I believe so you're ok.

So take a chill pill - literally.
Biostolic is a great prescription once a day drug that will completely stabilize your BP (I weigh 250 Lbs. so I take 20 mg a day)
Zero sides and I get off when I lean out....I can Tren and Dbol and coffee all at the same time without panic because of the meds.

Include taurine / coenzyme q10 and beet root juice and you're gtg....

Remember that 99 is normal for HR so you're basically there....
And the above will help with BP.

Someone should write an "on cycle" therapy with BP meds and cholesterol meds. Just my $0.2 (maybe it will be me haha)

Um....it's steroids

juice123456789's picture

Um....actually been a member for around 3 years.
I know a lot of the sources personally too....

Stopped making and answering posts after a silly ban.

So I check stuff out....started to answer a little more here and there.

If you think that my stats after a year of being a member is indicative of my knowledge you're sorely mistaken.

The steroids are elevating this person's stats....more likely than not....the var is doing this (didn't want to accuse this person of having less than potent var prior to this but it's probably the case - maybe they are using more too). I'd be surprised if the npp was a huge factor unless a lot of bloat came with this but it's not known for much. Cholesterol however would be more of an issue with the npp.

So the answer is simple....

Dump the two....use only the var and then only the npp and see which one is doing it. If you're bent on using the two....get the meds.
It's the only sure fire way of using the gear of choice and maintaining some sort of homeostasis.

One - taurine / coeq10 and beet root juice were written in my explanation (not as the primary method to resolve the above issue but as a means to help)

Two - we are all on meds - i.e. STEROIDS
So you need to realize that

Three - rx meds are more efficient at keeping us "safe" and avoiding long term issues than any other homeopathic solution - while on gear

Four - I truly believe that all of should be on BP and Cholesterol meds while on gear to
Avoid stresses and buildups of any kind - i.e. The causes of most deaths in steroid users.

Being on a cholesterol med. for example - will prevent clogging of arteries and bring down total cholesterol.

While on - take meds
While off - get off meds

Simple stuff

Again....someone should write an On Cycle Therapy to avoid long term problems

Invest in a BP machine too....couldn't hurt Smile

Just get the extra large cuff....or
You'll never get a normal
Reading haha

take resting blood pressure in the morning that's when i take it. gear plus diet tend to = higher blood pressure then usual, everyone is different mine has been as high as 140 over 120 when its normally 130 over 80 . a million different things come into play stress, what you did that day , running around getting ready etc etc. i take my bp at home and often like once a week.

Gymjunkie01's picture

at those dosages dear it shouldn't raise your bp. I would wait for your blood panel to come back. also was you dehydrated? also don't wanna sound like I am intruding but was it your time of the month? BP can be elevated during that time, also did you have any high caffeinated drinks before going in?

One reading doesn't mean your pressure is high all the time. It very well could of been high at that moment. You need to take multiple readings and at different times of the day. If that sample shows you're high, then take action.

X1000. Go to a cvs that has a cuff and take it 3 times in a row.

CVS, grocery store pharmacy's, etc. all have the. They work well for regular folks, but they can give false, elevated readings to those of us who have large arms. Most of the automated cuffs are made for 15" arms and under. I still use them from time to time, but I have to subtract from the numbers.
