+ 1 Base Before Cycle (lost 40 pounds)

ad

After reaching a whopping 210 pounds I finally cut the b.s and started focusing on putting my body through the craziest cutting phase ever...Now 40 pounds down and with a new sense of what dieting is I aim to hop on a cycle and shed 10 more pounds....I want to be ripped. I will fight to get it.... I will be more on top of cardio and high rep low weights...Any advice will gladly be accepted...I couldn't do all this without your support..I will continue to work...thanks Eroids for pushing me.

idk about all this high reps vs low reps talk i just do as many reps as i can with whatever weight is on there... there's things to be said about both sides of it really. tom platz used to do like 50 reps on squats and he had some of the biggest legs you've ever seen.
i go to near failure with everything starting with the warmup, about 25-30 reps then work up in weight and down in reps until i get into the 5-8 range.
as for getting ripped that's never been my strong suit bro so good luck with that lol. looking good though, great progress.

Something tells me a before and after pic is needed...I know how to get to where I wanna be...when I bulked I was at 210 and had compliments left and right. No that I'm skinny my one true goal is to get cut.. I will do this my way...there's more than one way to skin a cat lol

definitely bro we're all different and we all respond differently to various forms of exercise. one thing i am starting to notice as much as i hate to admit it is the most important thing in dropping body fat is cardio. im doing 7 days a week at least a half hour a day with a few days of an hour a day split into 2 sessions starting with fasted cardio in the morning and im noticing changes almost every day. i have always fucking hated cardio but it allows you to be a little more lax in your diet and still get where you need to be.

High reps low weight? Your kidding right? If you really believe that even contributes .00001% to leaning out then stay the fuck away from steroids. I knkw that sounds harsh but any serious lifter knows that's totally bullshit and if you have done any reading on training techniques you would have easily came across that. It's actually a great way to lose muscle and end up with the same body composition 10lbs lighter.

I guess ultimately since I'm fighting in mma I'm really afraid to gain to much mass by slapping on the heavy weight.. so if I lose the weight however possible I will be happy..As far as training techniques I have tried numerous and not everyone responds the same..

Mann that's wrong again. Fuck lol. Lifting in the higher rep range will say 10-15 is what will put mucle in you the fastest. It causes sarcoplasmic hypertrophy or and increase in the sarcoplasm. There little things that hold fluid. It's non contractile muscle or beach or fluff muscle as I would call it, very fast size gains but very slow gains in strength. Totally worthless for an athlete gaining it will just slow you down it's un functional muscle. Liftin in the low rep ranges less them 6 with heavier weight cause myofiblar hypertrophy or an incese in the actual thickness and size of the muscle fibers. That's real muscle functional muscle, very very slow to add size but much quicker stregnth gains.

So if you are an athlete and fight the very last the last thing you wanna do is higher reps and add this wothless fluff muscle.

And as for trying numerous training styles and eveyone responds differently your totally right. But in no way shape or for does high reps get your cut and low reps get you big. But some people might find they have to stay below 8 reps to add size to there chest while people like me have to stay above 10. But that myth that high reps get you cut and low reps get you big is just that, a myth. Probably put out by the same retarted that convinced girls that lifting heavy will make then bulky.

Im not trying to come off as a prick just trying to help. If you train mma I would start doing research on training specifically for that. But back when I played rugby I only focused on low reps. The type of muscle high reps puts on you just slowed me down. It's like adding 20lbs of nothing. It's totally worthless muscle. Now add 20lbs of muscle through myofiibilar hypertrophy and it will it turn you into a beast. But it will also take probably 2 years even with steroids. Comes very very slow.

Thank's for your comments and your criticism. I think I have been doing well with the training methods I have implemented .if you look at my past pics I have come along way..I will definitely come back with something to prove to you or anyone that doubts my methods..

x2, heavy weights are what causes your body to deplete your glycogen stores. once depleted then the body turns to fats. Also adding muscle will increase total calories burned.
