Training muscles twice a week once heavy once light to break through a plateau

ad

Any one try this method? Each muscle only gets 6-9 sets (not including warm up sets) since there being trained twice a week. Heavy days reps 4-8, and light days 15-20. Just stated a couple weeks ago. Obvious huge pumps on lights days. Liking it so far.

Ya I've done it before. I spend my first year or so when I first started lifting hitting everything twice a week. I would so chest tri, then back bi, them legs delts, off day and repeat. I build a lot of my base doing this and it worked great. I wouldn't really so heavy and light day tho, just like first chest day I would use db then the other day bb. Recovery is also a little easier when your a noob so I didn't really have to adjust the volume much, I would do 12 sets for the big muscle and 9 for small. I stil do this split from time to time and I really like it but I have to lower the volume a little. I'll do like 9 sets for big muscles and 6 for the smaller. It honestly works great for everything except my arms. They just don't seem to grow when I do them after chest or back they need there own day when there fresh. But it works great for everything else. If my arms weren't my weakest muscle group I would do this split a lot more often. You kinda have to deload or take a rest week or an extra few days more often tho cause lifting 6 days a week really beats up the central nervous system. But def a good way to change things up. I might even do it during my next bulk cycle durinf my 4 week dbol kickstart. It sounds way more appealing to hit everything 8 times during those 4 weeks then only 4.

Thanks for the feedback bro. This is the first forum I've ever posted on because every time I browse through them I see total bullshit and people fighting like kids or totally stupid answers. I'm here to meet some people and get new ideas and ways to shock my body. Ive been reading allot about slingshot training there's allot to it but makes allot of sense to me. Ttys.
