+ 3 Diet Is the magic pill

ad

I was never able to really grasp the concept of dieting. Before. I would run different cycles throughout the years and i would clean my diet up from the garbage i was eating , but never did it the right way. Finally i wised up and went out and purchased a huge tupper ware set. Every night after my cardio now, i come home cook my meals for the next day and get everything ready. I always use to switch to low fat diets but never got into measuring my food, and making sure everything was timed out. I use to have moderate success and look fairly good sometimes while running cycles but was never able to get that super lean ripped look i always wanted.. Finally i truly am starting to understand what it means to get the diet dialed in right. To make the adjustments along the way and bring things where they need to be up or down judging by how my body is responding , to work what time i am taking in carbs, keeping my protein intake just right for my body weight, eating the right kind of fats . It has been like night and day. Carb intake has been a huge awakening for me also, especially following vikings no carbs after 1pm theory. My dieting before would be grilled chicken and eggwhite sandwiches, i had no idea what i was really doing, i also never took the time , and put in the dedication and consistency it takes to get to the supermarket every single week and get exactly what i need and make sure no matter what i have my food made and put away for the next day. at the end of November i was weighing 285 lbs. i am now weighing 240 lbs and i am starting to look very good. My body composition is changing every week and its just blowing me away how each week i keep getting leaner and leaner. Diet really is the magic that makes it all happen , i finally get it now. I still have a long way to go to reach my goal of being shredded this summer, but just wanted to share how much the right diet has made a difference for me.

Whoever reads this thread please, please disregard ALL the PURE BULLSHIT that member TT wrote below!.... he is THE biggest fkn numptie this site has ever seen regarding steroid or diet advice..... he is a classic kid who thinks he knows best!..still at an age were he does NOT need to use steroids or closely watch his diet but still believes 1 Gram or more of Tren pr week should be the norm... he is not a bodybuilder let me make this clear... he is simply a roid abuser that does it purely to fill out his T-shirts...... let him have his own views i say live and let live but fkn please do not listen to a single fkn word of verbal diarrhoea this kid spits out.

Peace!!..... your friendly community caring, safety concious, gain inducing VIKING.

That's how I use to view it. Then I started watching carbs, sugars, proteins and maximizing my calories with lean proteins to get to most out of my food with those max calories and it's made a world of difference .

There is more to dieting than simply meeting macros. The type of food you eat and timing has a huge role in insulation regulation and if you are eating simple carbs at the wrong times, those insulin spikes are going to cause increased fat accumulation.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

+3.................... But he has no clue about the Glycemic index.... his comments prove that bro...... basically the dumb fuck is killing his own gains through pure ignorance about proper nutritional practises.

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Holy fuck...This is why I can't post any more. Fuck metabolic response, nutrient timing...hell just a one size fits all. A calorie is a calorie... pure bullshit. Surely if I was driving a Ferrari I would not put low octane fuel in the damn thing. The body is no different. Unreal.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

REFUSED............. speak to me here.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Thats great bro!.... you keep doing what you are doing, if it works for you thats superb...... but i will say this!... if i had took a shine to you lets say 12mths ago and got you on the right track with compound and diet tactics i guarantee you would be at least 30lbs heavier right now and cut to the bone.

Thats all i have to say...... no need to reply its not a pissing contest, have a good day bro.

15g from extra virgin olive oil is NOT like 15g of TRANS FATS from fkn McDonalds.

PIN_CUSHION's picture

So you're saying the type of fat doesn't matter?

jansen's picture

Lets see some pics of this physique youve built using your diet method.

PIN_CUSHION's picture

If that's the case then why not eat little Debbie cakes all day

Greg's picture

Not quite.

Empty calories (e.g. sugar) will not provide you with the essential nutrients you need to grow.

If I take 2000cals of sugar and you take 2000 cals of protein and complex carbs you'll grow, I won't.

Greg's picture

You're back peddling. To meet my macros I'm also meeting my calorie count. there is no room for Bad fats and sugar.

Many will disagree because you are incorrect and fooled by your own youth and abuse of AAS. You'll learn in time as your bad habits will not change but your body will.

White Bolt's picture

This may be the case if you're shooting insulin before every meal, otherwise I will have to disagree with your statement.

One of the keys to successfully dieting to reach your goals is to keep a log. If you are not counting calories and macros you have no clue on how to tweak your diet to get the desired outcome. There is no "winging" it when trying to dial in your diet. Changing calories and macros can have a profound effect on your body composition but unless you are keeping a log how do you know if you are averaging 500 less calories/day this week or dropped your carbs by 100 grams for example. Sounds like you are getting things figured out. +1

Its funny you say that, this is something i am just about to start doing. i am cruising for a month then jumping back into a blast for the summer, and i was planning on doing it then. Good thing about my diet , its pretty simple and bland so i have had good success feeling my way through it with how i am responding week to week, (body changes, hunger, energy) but i am going to start a log soon

Makwa's picture

Myfitness pal is the best app I have found for keeping a log.

Just looked into this, thanks for the link. Im getting pretty good results from my current diet, maybe now I can really dial it in.

Okay, where do I find this "magic diet pill"? PM me if you have a source. ;-)

jansen's picture

Great post. Would you mind giving us a run down of what your diet looks like for a day?

eastcoastmuscle's picture

my meal plans vary day to day but this is todays plan

5am weights and 30 min cardio fasted
1. Egg whites 2 slices whole grain toast
2. protein shake
snack handful of peanuts
3. 6-8 ounces of grilled chicken 1-2 cups brown rice
4. 8 ounce steak filet
5. protein shake
530 pm cardio 45 min
6. egg white omelet or 6 ounce grilled chicken

other days i throw a lot of veggies in early in the day too

jansen's picture

Your diet is very similar to mine. I dont use protien shakes because im a believer in eating real food. I also make a big pan of steamed veggies and eat them with a couple meals a day. Its an assortment of zukini, squash, green beans, asparagus, mushrooms, bell pepper, onions, and broccoli. Its pretty dam good! I aslo hit vikings tuna shake after 2 in the evening. I also make a shake with half a carton of egg whites, almond milk, hand full of oatmeal, and fruit ( bananna, strawberries, or blueberries) sometimes I drink this in the morning or post w.o. if I drink it in the evening post w.o. I leave the oatmeal out to cut back on carbs. Maybe you can find some of this useful. If you got any diet tips to add then lets hear them. In trying to learn all I can ha ha!

eastcoastmuscle's picture

Only other good tip I am going to start trying was also one of Vikings, putting the green tea bags Into your bottles water to try to help with fat burning . That's my next addition to diet, if you want to consider that part of a diet.

jansen's picture

Gonna have to look this one up unless one of you guys have the link handy.

Awesome! Thanks bro!

BlackDoug's picture

I actually forgot about that one..... Thanks for the reminder bro and +1 for the effort and the post!

eastcoastmuscle's picture

Thanks bro appreciate it

eastcoastmuscle's picture

Also the protein shakes i use are no carb

BlackDoug's picture

Lol ok shredded chicken or hard boiled egg. Maybe both...... My point is whole foods are better for you and there are plenty of options out there that only take minutes to prepare. I'm just asking you to have an open mind and consider the fact that there are better options for you. I think you are on the right track.....

eastcoastmuscle's picture

I appreciate the help. i do wish i could add a little more variety in the mix. I have been using protein shakes 2x a day 3 days out of the week. I have just been trying to play with my calories on certain days, but i do understand nothing beats real food

BlackDoug's picture

Looks pretty good bro. Looks like you really need to get some green veggies in that diet and if anyway possible switch out those protein shakes with some whole foods. 1 good substitute I've found and it's quick. Dark red kidney beans and tuna. Best at room temperature.

eastcoastmuscle's picture

i hear you, but unfortunately i dont eat any seafood at all, so it kind of limits me. i do use green veg on most days, but i will have to try the beans, thanks

BlackDoug's picture

Well then try shredded chicken and beans. There are plenty of options that aren't very taxing or time consuming.

BlackDoug's picture

Couldn't agree more! First diet second training and lastly gear. In that order! If the first 2 aren't in check then you have no business doing the 3rd.....
