+ 2 Pinning Glutes – If you can't reach it's a MUST READ.

ad

So recently there has been a lot of posts about pinning. The one thing that I found consistently in all of these different posts is the inability of some people to comfortably reach their glutes during the process of self administering injections.

Unless you have some sort of debilitating injury you should have no problems reaching your glutes comfortably to self administer injections. Your body is designed to allow you to do that, this applies to every normal healthy individual out there.

This is an indication of a bigger problem , namely lack of flexibility. If you can’t reach your glutes your body is not functioning up to its potential, BIG PROBLEM.

Now I won’t get into all of the benefits of flexibility, especially when one of the community members already did a pretty good job with his post, which can be seen here. I personally read it and agree with what’s in it and suggest others give it a read.

And for those of you that think you are too big to reach back there that is a bunch of nonsense. That is a flexibility problem which will lead to all sorts of other problems. Work on your flexibility, it’s just as important as muscle strength and endurance for optimum health.

This is my quick rant on the inability of pinning glutes.

nope// Never been able to reach my glutes well.. Also the fact that I would like to
see where I pin is way more important to me then having to hit a specific area. Been pinning thighs and calves. ( calves are 20 inch - non pumped.). Ill have to deal with my body problems.

I've done calves as well, But keep this in mind it's very dicey. There is a small spot that is good to go anywhere else you can really f-yourself up. Just be careful.

Flexibility is not the ability to flex, therefore it's useless to me. Sorry brah!

WhyNot's picture

I am not sure what you mean by that. If you mean actually flexing muscles in terms of posing or in terms of muscular development. Flexibility will help with both of those.

I'm just playin Smile I defiantly need to work on some stretches. I started doing a bit of yoga just recently.

I wouldn't call myself all that flexible, but I've never had problems reaching my glutes to pin. Maybe some folks are confused on where you pin your glutes. It's more on the side than all the way behind (pun intended). Glutes and ventro-glutes are my go-to spots for my TRT injections.

I think the bigger issue here is how do they wipe their ass? the same position applies no? The crack is a farther stretch than the glute muscle right?

Pale's picture

Men wipe back to front (between legs) Woman wipe front to back (to avoid contaminating the goods). I thought that was common knowledge, lol

I do the reach around ice, lol wait that didn't sound right, shit ooh well.... seriously tho I stretch every morning and it improves mobility especially being around 250lbs

WhyNot's picture

I assume some take the shorter route and go in between the legs. Smile

I just started yoga to help with flexibility. I thought I was flexible until I started the first class... Holy tight hammy batman

I can reach my glute but I so shake a little trying to hold it.. Definitely lack of flexibility there also.

Jean Claude van dam.... Big dude and flexible as fuck lol

I gotta try this

NoPain's picture

I honestly didn't think I would like it but I can't wait to go again

WhyNot's picture

I would have to say that progress with flexibility comes quicker than muscular development for most people. I think once you get into it by going more often and receive positive feedback for your efforts you're going to get hooked. Smile

NoPain's picture

Absolutely. I've already noticed improvement because I've incorporated some of the stretches into my daily routine. I bought myself a stretch strap which really could be a piece of rope or something lol. Point is, it helps get a little extra to the stretch.

WhyNot's picture

Stretching is just as complex as muscle building, there are so many aspects to it. My recommendation would be to hire a professional who can, not only instruct you properly but would greatly increase your learning curve.

2500hd's picture

how much do you weigh?

WhyNot's picture

I try to keep personal details of the public forums. But I can tell you this when I was younger I was over 135 kilo and never had a flexibility problem. Not only could I self administer glutes but I could also side split (and yes I can still do that today).

Flexibility is paramount to health and there have been plenty of huge guys out there that were and remain to this day extremely flexible. Kai Greene is one of them and he is about as big as you get.

2500hd's picture

I was just asking dude I'm not real flexible and ever time i blast it gets worst I was gonna try some yoga and see if it helps

WhyNot's picture

I am sorry if my response came across as being hostile it wasn't meant to be that way. I am a big believer that stretching and flexibility is not only important for overall health but it also helps with muscular development which is what most people on here are seeking anyway.
