When is it ok to take nolvadex while on cycle?

ad

Just reading on some of the cycles that the old pros used to do as well as people like Boston Loyd who openly post their cycles stacks on you tube and fb.

Nolvadex is an estrogen blocker used mostly for PCT estrogen rebound or to treat gyno, it's not an A.I. nor does it play nice with an arimidex, hence the reason arimidex is not recommended t be run along side nolva during pct.

It was also my understanding that taking nolva during cycles hinders gains. How exactly does it do that?

So what would be the purpose of these pros and young guns like Loyd taking nolva once a week during cycle?

Any thoughts appreciated. I'm just researching the subject to understand things better.

Thank you.

no this is not true arimidex can be taken with nolva no problem.

To answer your question, you should NEVER need to take nolva during cycle unless GYNO flares. That's the ONLY reason you should ever take Nolva on cycle because it blocks estrogen at the breast tissue. Don't believe because 1 person does it you should too. Loyd also had gyno surgery I believe which is probably why he uses nolva, that doesn't mean you need to.

There is no need for nolva on cycle since AI's do a better job of controlling estrogen. All nolva does is block estrogen at your breast tissue. If you only take nolva on cycle your estrogen levels are going to be extremely high but you won't get gyno. High estrogen can cause many problems itself, there's a ton of posts here discussing this topic.

Thanks for your response j.

I wasn't suggesting that nolva should be taken instead of an a.i. or that it should replace arimidex in-cycle. I realize the consequences of that. From posts I've read here, the suggestion was always "nolva will hinder your gains while on cycle" which always sounded to me like bro science. And, "nolva should only be mixed with Aromasin, never arimidex".

I'm just loooking for some clarification on the matter since nolvadex is mostly associated with pct.

I just explained all nolvadex does is block estrogen. It doesn't LOWER estrogen it just blocks the effects. It's a temporary fix, helpful in PCT to block estrogen which helps increase the natural production of testosterone at the hpta and prevents gyno. Another reason why you do NOT need aromasin for pct, since nolva will block the effects of estrogen.
