pain in elbow after injection
ad
So I pinned this morning in my left side delt and everything went in well, aspirated no blood vessels, felt light headed while pinning (that's never happened before) no pain. But when I went to lift chest today I had a shooting pain in my elbow as I fully extended my bench press it feels like the legament. Anyone have a similar experience? Or know what it could be. Sorry I feel dumb asking but I've never had any pain that I couldn't work out through.

Depending on the length of the needle and how much muscle mass you have in your deltoid. You could have hit or irritated a nerve associated with your axillary or radial nerve. I f not it could just be an inflamed medial deltoid that is causing you to strain or compensate an area due to the post injection pain or swelling.
McSteelsonThe light headed feeling was just from a little bout of anxiety, there's no physiological way the pin had any effect on your brain that quickly so no worries there. As far as your elbow goes, I'm guessing your a bit into your cycle and have probably lifted arms a few times so it's most likely an overuse injury. If you heard or felt a "pop" or "snap" during lift then you could have done some serious damage but since you were still able to get to end range on your presses you probably just strained your bicep. Take 2 or 3 days off upper body workouts and you should notice it getting better. If that doesn't help, go see your chiro or family doc.
I'm certainly no medical doctor but delt to elbow sounds like your pin was close to a nerve if the two incidents are even related. Otherwise, you just stretched a ligament or tendon with the elbow. If u see any external bruising u need to see a doc and don't delay. That would be a tear.
AnonYes I'm thinking its just a coincidence and that I stretched the ligament because I went to heavy. I hate cutting I always get hurt lol I try to lift the same weight in cal deficit and it don't work so well especially with no carbs.
