+ 5 Pec Tear 12 Days later
ad
Ok bros- just an update...here is my pec tear 12 days after injury (see self shots under my tag for original pics). After two mri's I was told today I need surgery asap and will be going in tomorrow. this tear is unique because apparently it did not rip off the bone but rather tore in the middle of the tendon. sooo depending on what he sees when he gets in there I may have part of my hamstring tendon grafted in to reconstruct this one...ugggghhhh!. I guess you could say im disappointed and discouraged..

Oh shit not try a be a dick.how did that happenen herd bout tears seen strongmen comp rip bicep how did pec tear.if it is pissing you off again then don't explain wish u luck bro no joke.
Looks pretty nasty. I ripped my distal bicep tendon right off the bone (pics are up). I try to keep a positive attitude and accept it for what it is, but sometimes find myself getting upset and moody at times. Look at it as a minor setback in a forward motion Inzer777, and in several months you'll be back in the game. Surgeon said within four months I'll be at zero restrictions, and while the wait is pure torture, I know there's an end in sight. It happends man, and your not alone.
Good luck man. Looks like time to focus on lower body for a while. Let us know the outcome.
Man that's some nasty bruising, best of luck to you bud! Hope you have a quick recovery
Damn Dorian.. Man thats a nasty tear!..that def sucks! Hope you get healed up quick tho.
thanks V4V me too
I had a rare grade 3 tear like yours. Had Surgery at the end of May. Now I'm back in the gym hittin it at about 75%. Stay positive brotha.
so about 4 months?? that's not too bad I guess...that's for the encouragement brother....guess I have to exercise positive thinking like kai greene always advocates
Did a lot of soul searching and ego checking during that period. Positive thoughts definitely help. Docs said it'd take 7-8 months. I showed them the power of the human body.
Fingers crossed that no grafting will be required and to a speedy recovery.
Thanks you nitro that means alot
thank you brother
Holy shit! There's a face in your bruise! Seriously look at the top right part of bruise on your bicep.
Sorry to hear tho man get well soon and take it easy!
wow didn't even see that...that's creepy.....thanks brother
All man I'm sorry to here about this !! Don't be disappointed !! Look as if it is a road to make you better !! +3 for sharing !! Please keep us updated !!
thanks polishmob will keep you guys updated and stay tuned for a forum post about my road to recovery. hopefully it will help a brother here going through the same thing down the road
Yes that will be nice ! Looking forward to seeing the post !
Man, thats hardcore. I feel for you. I better slow my roll in the gym. I been goin all out lately. I'm not tryin to have to go thru that. I had a minor rotator cuff tear, about 6 months ago and didnt let it heal properly and kept tryin to work thru it. That was not one of my better decisions. Anyway, hope you get better soon.
man I did this at work throwing a drunk guy out the door that was harassing a girl and would not leave....thanks for the well wishes and keep training hard and smart
AnonAt least its fixable brother, hang in there.
yup. I pray I can make a big comeback luke!!!!!! much love to you bro and the help you gave me
Hang in there and get well soon! +2
thanks for the kind words my bro
bummer sorry to hear
thanks OP
waltrouch
you contact a lawyer yet about the workers comp?
hey my brother...I did contact a lawyer but have yet to pull the trigger only because my employer has been good and workers comp is paying med bills and loss wages....that of course wont suffice for the year this will affect me
waltrIf you go through with it with a lawyer he'll get you a settlement, but workers comp would stop when you're going to get it.
Also going back to work for the guy if you opt for a settlement is unlikely....
