+ 3 Pec Injury

ad

No, those aren't pubes thank you. This is a close up on the upper outer portion of my pec, arm pulled back and slightly raised, 1.5 weeks after I felt 3 pops on my bench presses. The bruising didn't show up until today for some reason. I had a scheduling conflict with my training partners and when I showed up I was all alone. We train high weight/percentage, low rep. Since I was alone I thought I'd go with a medium/lower weight with sets to or near failure and got a nice pump/burn. My following bench day was back to normal with higher weight lower reps. I couldn't get my pec to fully warm up and it seemed to have a slight knot. I did lower weight and progressed up trying to get warm, including stretching between sets. On my first working set I brought down 375 and felt odd, but okay. Come second set, the weight seemed lighter and I brought it down slower. Upon touching I paused, then pushed. Around 2 inches off my chest I heard and felt a pop, pop, pop and let the weight fall back down for my partners to pull off. I've been keeping it light, for me, when I've been doing chest, as I felt I was able to still train. My last session I felt around 80%+, but still kept my weight low. I even decided to let go entirely on the bottom portion. I would take the weight down slow and steady, then set it on my chest and alleviate all force from the bar, letting the weight sit freely on my chest, then slowly pushing back. I went as high as mid 3's on flat, less on incline, and more on decline. I felt I would be back to normal in another 2 or so weeks. I decided I'd ice the chest and shoulder today and use my electronic muscle stimulator to help speed everything up. About 20 minutes after icing this bruise appeared. I'm thinking a stage 1 to stage 2 pec tear. I'll be dropping nearly all chest movements for a period of time and doing only therapeutic movements/motions. Its definitely not a stage 3, so I will undoubtedly avoid surgery. I've started TB500 and GHRP6 in the mean time and will continue with the on/off of ice and heat along with my stimulator, therapeutic exercises, and deep tissue messages. Anyone have any advice or experience to share on this matter(obvious discontinuances and medical treatments aside)?

Still attached as far as I can tell. I started the TB500 and GHRP6 and will be starting GH tomorrow morning and switching to using GHRP6 before bed only.

Arnicare gel from health store will help get rid of blood deposits under your skin, took about a month or more for just that. I'm 7 months post pec tear and i worked out 3 months on other body parts and hit legs hard. After 3 months I started with just bar and also cable crossovers and slowly increased weight each week. Just take it easy because most guys with a partial tear will end up tearing the whe pec few weeks or months later by not allowing time to heal, it's a severe injury that needs time and attention

Arnicare has a great line of products.. all holistic I believe too.. I highly recommend it! Good luck in recovery bro!!

I'll be grabbing some of that gel soon. I definitely need to take it easy. I was still lifting with the injury. The bruise didn't form until 1.5 weeks after I had the pop. I thought it wasn't a huge issue until I saw the bruise formation.

I had the same injury and got some acupuncture/Chinese medicine treatment. You're gonna have dead blood sitting in your muscle soon and they can really pull that out of there and speed up the healing process. For whatever reason most people don't even wanna hear this shit because it's not what we've grown up with but I've used it for all kinds of shit and I always leave there feeling better than when I came in but just like anything you need to go to someone that really knows what the fuck they're doing.

Good to know, I'll be looking into this. Thank you.

lol, thank you man. I can't let it keep me down in everything. I still have work and my other lifts. I need to focus on those anyway. My squats are a bit low for my taste at the moment, so now I get to really zero in on those. I'm at my highest for squat at the moment, but that doesn't say much considering my previous problems. I'm hoping to get past 600 this year.

Hopefully not. Thank you.
