compound movements teach your body to work together. They require stimulus from multiple muscle groups and lead to an increase in(natural) HGH.. Learn things like this before you become sylvester stalone on an airplane.
squats are the most applicable excersize in everyday life.

Squats, leg press is pointless..............if you get big enough, you cant even do a FULL leg press.....

Squats to give you mass, like 3-6 reps heavy weight.
Presses to get them shredded, like 30-40 reps with moderate weight and rest 30 seconds in-between sets for a killer burn

lol I stack up to 6 plates on each side on the press an i'm like hell ya bitches BUT if I was ever try 6 plates each side on squats they would have to call 911 because if i could even get it off the rack the second i tried to step back with it that shit would crumble me to the floor lol I normally won't do anything over 225 anything over I get a sharp pain in my back where the bar is sitting

Yeah I don't go crazy heavy on squats because I have nerve damage on back problems.. not even worth it

squats all the way, people who just do leg press don't even need to be in the gym unless they have some kinda medical problem other then that there's no excuse.... I do both personally
