+ 1 Durring my initial recovery

ad

This was after working out again for a couple months, but I am hard headed and decided to do some deadlifts and damaged my still recovering back. I had to stop again for a few more months and couldnt work out at all. This time around I wont make the same mistakes. I cannot do squats or deadlifts but I will focus on all other areas of my training

Thanks bro I really appreciate it. Some days I work really long hours and it takes all the discipline I have to still do my workout but I do it and afterward I feel so good about it. I have received alot of encouragement from members here. Thanks and good luck on the upcoming cycle. Just stay motivated and stay focused and Im sure it will go great.

I can not do those either due to a degenerating disc in my lower back so I just do all that I can to work around those 2 exercises. U will do just fine buddy. Stay focused and determined.. Lifting smart is the key now..

I do bent over dumbell rows, cable pull-downs, and as many pull-ups as possible. For legs I mostly do quad extensions. I miss doing squats till I puke. That sounds stupid, but the intensity was so high it was ridiculous. Im at a point where Im pretty satisfied with my back workouts even without deadlifts because I totally kill it with the things I can do. I also am more cautious than normal with my form (no twisting, jerking, stuff like that) I do try to lift smart. Any input here would be appreciated. Thanks for the encouraging words

Its good to hear that others out there are dealing with the same issues and making it work. It motivates me to keep pushing. Im not taking pain meds anymore and some days are pure misery. And I remember how much progress I made when I finally added deadlifts and squats to my routine so this experience has been discouraging to say the least.
