Deads really wouldn't do much for width man. You would give close grip pulldowns a try. When you bring your hands closer together you allow for more ROM. With more ROM you can get a better stretch on the lats and that would help you out.
Just my two cents tho.

Gotta lift HEAVY bro thats my opinion,, heavy rows, heavy pull downs, heavy deadlifts, heavy shrugs..JUST BIG ASS WEIGHT and grow that back... Of course Diet should b on point.;)
