ad
Got my blood back today. Well from an email. Doc said she wil give me them in person come monday. She said everything looks good except I'm a pre-diabetic. Then she said please watch your sugars, we will talk monday about it. My diet consists of very low sugar, I have no sweet tooth. Along with the blood test I also did a chloestrol fasting test, which I didn't eat for 12 hours. I missed 4 meals and was wobbly walking into get my labs, can this be any part of it? Any recomnedations? I do cardio, have low bodyfat, my diet is clean, only thing off is my sleeping pattern.

I was just looking over everything I put in my body and found whats fucking the level up. The creatine I take has 35 grams of sugar in it (take 2 times a day), and the protein bars I snack on 1-2 two a day have 30 grams of sugars....I never look at sugars when looking at supplements. just calroies, fat, proteins and carbs. Damnit. Thats 100-130 grams of sugars I didn't know I was taking in on a daily bases. Maybe the 2 apples a day is also alot of un needed sugar.....cut those out of my diet, switch it up to non sugar and im sure I'll get below that number.... Thanks for input guys, I found the prob I believe.
usually your a1c would be taken to have your average blood sugar as a reference...have you been using insulin?
nope, no insulin
Hmmm, where you hypo or hyper ?
glucose level at 107
is that during a fast? During a fast mine is at 60ish
my sister is diabetic and i know range for her is 80-120 which is considered normal. the only thing that is odd, if you fasted you should be much lower. this could be a rebound effect, usually happens with type 2 diabetics
Your are right, fasting should be much lower, mine is 82 after fast so 107 would be slightly elevated
