It will heal faster if it is drained since it is less puss and fluid your body has to get rid of on its own. I would drain it before it gets to big and builds up a lot of pressure. I wonder if you could use a 10 or 20ml rigg to suck the infected shit out of the wound. Why are some affraid to get medical treatment? That is private information, I thought your insurance company only dealt with billing and not medical issues, but I guess it depends on what the policy is. If your policy says they will pay a __% for a minor procedure, than that is what they will pay. They wont say we are not paying for that because you have an abscess and most of them come from roid ragers like you. You could always tell the physician you bumped into a sharp, long, and thin piece of metal in your garage and it went in really deep, about 1" in.
