"cooling glove better than steroids"
Summary:
Stanford researchers have invented a cooling glove that fits around your hand, fills up with cold water and cools the capillary veins in your hand which will cool your entire body. They compared their results to other studies that examined the effects of AAS and muscle recovery and they found their results to more significant, i.e. better.

Criticism:
I haven't seen any studies on AAS that use the dose that most of us use. So the comparison might be unfair.
Implications:
An ice bath will produce the same results! An ice bath will not only expose your hands to the low temperature but your entire body.
How to use an ice bath:
If you have a pool and its cold enough (70-55 degrees fahrenheit) use it. If you don't have access to a pool you can use your bath tub and fill it with ice or buy a rubber tub from Home Depot and a thermometer. I did this, I bought a 50 gallon tub and thermometer for under $20.. It is large enough for me to sit comfortable in and be submerged up to my the bottom of my pecs.
-Start out slow, only use for 5mins max and work up to 15mins max. Also it is better to let your body re-stabilize it self after the bath rather than jumping in the shower. This is all part of the recover to fight inflammation. But I do admit generally I am so cold I have to jump in the shower right away.
CAUTION:
I am not a M.D. this advice is from regular joe to another. Also 55 degrees fahrenheit is the absolute coldest you want your ice bath, anything colder and you risk going into shock in as little as 5 mins..
