Best option during cycle for offsetting estrogen

ad

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the best option for offsetting estrogen effects during a cycle. I'm obviously new to all this and have been reading a ton of shit. So my question is this: is it better to take an "aromatase inhibitor" (AI) or a "selective estrogen receptor modulator" (SERM).

I'm sure most of you know the difference, but incase some of you do not, an AI basically inhibits the converstion of test to estrogen, which SERMs bind to and block receptor sites from taking up and interacting with estrogen.

So, is it best to inhibit the conversion or block the body's reception? I'm sure the answer would depend on the side effects, if any, that someone is experiencing. For me, I'd like to keep my moods in check so I don't wind up twisting off on someone for some stupid shit. No gyno or anything. Just thinking preimptively.

25mg/day is the dosage for a breast cancer patient. These drugs are potent, and you don't want to completely nuke your estrogen levels. Half life is 24 hrs. Cdaddy has it right. If you feel like it's not enough, increase it a tiny bit. Also, Aromasin is 90% protein bound. So if you are taking any other protein bound meds they will compete, and your actual free blood levels will be higher than expected.

OK...well, see a SERM like Nolvadex is only effective in breast tissue. You're better off controlling overall estrogen levels with an AI rather than just battling down the growth of man tits. Intelligent use of an AI to keep estrogen levels in a proper range is a much better option. Also, SERMS like novlvadex are quite toxic and even carcinogenic, so their use is better in the short term(such as for 4 weeks post-cycle) as opposed running it for months on a cycle.

The benefits of an AI are you'll feel alot better emotionally, have more energy, reduced water(bloat), burn off bodyfat better, increase libido.

Yeah...once in awhile I am in the right place at the right time and have a stroke of intelligence fly out my fingers onto the keyboard, lol. May not have much experience with cycles yet, but I have at least educated myself intensely on some of these matters!!
