LionKingI am interested in alkaline stuff, thanks for sharing
Wow didn't know chicken breasts were so low.
Wish they did a comparison with Whey Concentrate to see how much of a difference there would be.
Great post btw, useful and refreshing.
im pretty sure whey protein would be up there below whey protein isolate, the major difference is that your body can't necessarily utilize all of the whey protein cause its only one kind, which is why you take protein isolate, so your body is actually utilizing all the protein you drink. if are taking whey, i would just switch up to whey protein isolate, its a bit more costly but not much. well worth it imo. research it.
thanks
I hunt, and eat a lot of Vennison and Elk. It's definately a welcome Alternative to chicken. Cool chart. +1 from me.
i wish i could own a gun. :-( thanks for the +1 bro.
vennison is sooo good. i need to start hunting.
breakingfaceAgreed. It's supposed to be lean and mineral dense. I would have to talk to a knowledgeable hunter to see if it's actually a cheap option... after permits, dressing etc.
As a "knowledgeable hunter" I'll give you my 2 cents, it really depends on where you hunt. If you are hunting out of your home state, it probably isnt a cheap option. However if you are hunting in a state as a resident, you should be ok.
I've dumped a lot of money into guns, gear, and special hunts so for me... Well not such a cheap option, but it's a hobby of mine so I don't mind spending the money. As far as butchering the meat, I do all of my butchering, even on large animals like elk. I don't do it to save money, I do it because I am very particular about making sure that all of my meat is processed cleanly (Nothing worse than finding a hair in your meat) and I like to control hang time (for Aging).
Learn how to butcher, pick up a cheap .270 or 30-06 with 3-9 power scope and you are in business.
I hunt as well. How about giving up a few of your good and healthy recipes for deer meat. I know the ways I cook it are not healthy. Fried, jerky, sausage stuffed with cheese....
Lol. I eat all of my deer meat raw. That's why I have to keep it clean during the processing. I hate cooking out anything. I just grab a backstrap out of the freezer and start tearing into it. Hell Yeah! Sure I have worms and other various parasites but it keeps my body fat down. So I'm good with it.
Ok. Maybe I don't eat it raw. Ya know bro vennison is kind of like any meat, if you are trying to keep it low sodium and healthy you really can't do very much to it. However it is an excellent meat for bodybuilding. I generally will cut 3/4" steaks, put a little olive oil on them and lightly season them with seasoned meat tenderizer and throw them on the barbeque grill. I'll cook up a large batch medium rare and throw what I don't eat in the fridge for later and warm them up in the microwave to add to my meals as I go on. In my opinion, it sure as hell beats chicken. Damn I get tired of chicken. Lol.
Thanks bro. I'll definitely be trying that. Bow season opens Oct. 1st!
whey isolate is the shit. when on a hardcore diet, i wouldn't go with any other protein supplement for clean calories. its expensive, but much cheaper when you buy in bulk at the right places.
breakingfaceIt only seems expensive. If you break it down and compare it to whole protein sources at the market it's extremely cheap.
ive always used whey isolate, your right you can find it pretty cheap if you look around, and your body is able to utilize a higher percentage of it than any other protein.
i cant believe tuna is such low quality.. i dont think ill bite on that (no pun intended)
breakingfaceEven less when you consider the mercury content.
This is cool man thanks for sharing
