Mammoth Motivation
ad
I'm relatively new to the (serious) world of strength and conditioning and I'm dealing with many issues that all of us have or do. The eb and flow of motivation seems to be the most critical determining factor for my success. I placed this thread in this forum because my current issue is in regards to binging and food addiction.
Saying this, I am in one of my "low points" of motivation. My forum post is targeted towards those who are currently or have in the past dealt with a long period of lost or confused motivation. What techniques do you use to maintain your thirst for blood? How do you enter the zone when every fiber in your body is fighting you?
Thank you in advance for sharing, and pillage on brothers.

i know the thread is a little old but i thought i would throw in my 2 cents...i have had some motivation problems in the past, i solved it by logging everything from food to weight on each exercise, i try to keep a competition with myself, whether it be one more rep or a few more pounds I always try to beat what I did before....as far as getting to the gym, if im super tired a nice does of caffeine does it for me, usually take it on the way to the gym that way when I start working out it is in full swing, just gotta get it done... chin up chest out
Excellent Answers! Put in ear buds.... walk around and visualize..!!!!
playing music you like, thinking of hot women. The ends will justify the means. IMO addiction isnt a permanent disorder like many doctors believe, rather a temporary condition. Once your not physically addicted the battle is of pure willpower. Hang in there
The thinking of hot women is a DEFINITE motivator, seems to do the trick when you get frustrated. Thanks for the reply swolltroll.
YouTube videos, Ronnie Coleman!
Ha! True, if I could be half the size of the Coleman I'd die a happy man. Thanks kevin777.
