How much protein can the body take???

I am 3 weeks into a cycle of Test E and Deca and I want to make sure that I am getting the right amount of protein and not wasting the protein i am getting now. How often should I be drinking a protein shake with 48grams per shake? Does anyone know exactly how much the body can consume and how often?

Best to get your protein from food. Your body can absorb nearly all of the protein you eat. Whatever your muscles don't use will be converted to energy.
The rate protein can be absorbed is about 10 grams per hour. But liquid protein passes through the digestive tract in only 1.5 hours. So a whey shake will yield about 15 grams of absorbed protein.
TxBigBoyKevin is right, all depends on your muscles mass. Do you know your bf%? It's says your 185lbs but if your 20% bf your protien intake is gonna differ from say 7-8%bf. This cycle I was around 205 lbs at about 7-8 % bf and I had to up my protien intake from around 200 grams of protien to 270 grams before I noticed any changes in my gains.
Edit: also it's good to know the types of protiens you use, ie fast acting protiens and slow digesting protiens.

drink one when u first wake up, after your work out, and right before bed.
No exact number but I'd shoot for 50 grams every 2-3 hours. Anything more is overkill IMO.
