Will steroids help
It's been some time now that I feel excausted. Most Of the time I nod off watching tv and don't really realise that I sleep. I haven't tried steroids before. I've been to the doctor and he said something is wrong with my thyroid but don't want to believe it. i know there is something wrong with me cos I'm feeling tired all the time, I have joint aches and I feel cold all the time etc. A few years ago I visited my GP for the same symptoms and he said they found nothing. I kept on having the same symptoms since then, however I didn't really talk about it cos I thought I'm just getting mad! Note the past 2-3 years most of the nights I cry myself to sleep under my duvet even the days I'm happy. I might get thyroid tablets next week depending on my blood results. Any suggestions on how to get back my energy as my life is going downwards. I've been told at work that I make silly mistakes and that's not me and the most important I am killing my relationship with my bf which I can't live without. It's painful please help I'm willing to try anything.

AnonI dont usually enter this side of the forum, but i just realised that this post has been posted by my gf (talk about feeling like a dick, lol). Mega thanks to everyone that was willing to help, you guys seriously rock. Grrrrrl my gf loves you!
Anyway just a bit of history about her, she is naturally gifted body wise as far as definition goes and bf, she is at an optimal level (you got to love genetics). Thing is she gets tired a lot like she described and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, nate and grrrl were both spot on.
Our/my worry is her bp, it drops to ridiculous levels and since anavar spikes it we thought it might work in her favor. She exercises ed just not in a gym like most ladies here. Her workout consists of walking/cardio mostly arround 40mins ed
We are going for bloods tomorrow so will keep everyone updated, hopefully they will give her some advice or even T4 if needed.
Thanks again guys much, much appreciate the sound advice given to her and nothing is killing your relationship sweety!!
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkThis should teach everyone to be nice or at least constructive - Remember you could be talking to a Mod's girlfriend!
AnonI have (had) ridiculously low blood pressure the problem is that since my "normal" runs about 90/60 (90/50) the raise for me is more like having high blood pressure, with all the resulting side effects.. I know she doesn't really want to take the pills but it will help with a LOT of things.. she may have issues with processing the T4 into T3 in addition to having high TSH levels so be on the watch for that ...I am on a high dose of Armour (really high) but my levels LOOK high but I still have some of the symptoms like cold hands and feet. Until recently that is..;-). I found research that indicates that without certain vitamins and lots of water AND crushing my Armour the body has a difficult time absorbing the medication. I highly recommend getting her on NATURAL thyroid and if your doc won't even discuss it with you all then I would fire that doc.. just my two cents. I hope it all works out Rods and have her come back so we can hear how things work out.
AnonIf it was 90/50 i wouldnt worry much we had 75/50, 80/50 levels that imo are not acceptable at all. I will have a look at Armour unfortunatelly the momment you say to them natural remedies they ask why you want a doctor, they just dont do natural here. We are having TSH and LFT tomorrow and will get her to update you guys.
Anonbut is is script over here... just a bioidentical form.. if they won't do it then pm me I have a source for it that i was considering using ... ask specifically for Armour Thyroid.. manufactured by Forest
My wife had the same issuses as you. Although she is older by 10+ yrs. Her naturopath prescribed bioidentical hormones that come in a cream form. The program is called WILEY PROTOCOL. There is too much to explain about it. You should google it and go to their website. It is also available for men. Your BF might be interested in it as well. This is the mildest form of hormonal replacement around.
A few years ago is a lot of time to think that things may be the same for you physiologically speaking.
Do yourself a big favor and have a complete and thorough professional evaluation and bloodwork before even considering anything AAS related.
Not to sound all doom and gloom, but I've lost several people in my life because they didn't get shit checked in time - worst case is they find something and you start to treat it, best case (and exactly what happened to me 3 months ago) they say you're a fucking hypochondriac and need to quit watching episodes of House to get suggestions for self-diagnosis.
Haha i don't even take any medicine for a headache. I don't think I am hypohondriac. But i hope that would be the case
so one day I will be able to join you guys in getting some muscles that my bf would love. I adore all of you, I wonder where do you find the motivation to train. Damn you steroids that you are not the magic pill! I feel overwealmed of everyones responce to my question and you really helped me a lot! Thanx
Anonnice godeep.. Good advice.. it should be standard with anyone using gear to at the very least establish a baseline. For people that are having difficulties it is good to get checked out beforehand. I d hate to be experiencing sides from the gear in addition to other issues.. could make for an unpleasant experience.
Nasty81NateYou could have what's called hypothyroidism (google it)...get ya a endocrinologist and have em check your TSH and thyroglobulin levels. A common fix would be prescription to cytomel (t3) or synthroid (t4), but don't self medicate though. Your doctor could be full of bs or maybe not, just incase go get a second opinion with a endocrinologist! I'm telling you from personal experience, getting those levels regulated can make a huge difference in your current situation.
Yeah I've heard of the t3. I was just wondering in case I do have a prob with my thyroid if getting steroids will help on boosting my energy or will make me worse. I felt like by starting a cycle will motivate me and put me in a training routine much easier than training alone. Thanks for your reply Anyway will wait and see
Anonnasty.. you are correct but I wouldn't be so hasty to suggest synthetic thyroid to people. It doesn't work as well and is more difficult for the body to process. People do better with natural thyroid
Nasty81NateSorry about that hrdbdy, just giving some advice based on my own experiences. I've had great sucess in getting leveled out with the synthetics, but that could be from the fact that i have no thyroid whatsoever. Also sleep_less disregard the part about the thyroglobulin levels, that wouldn't pertain to your case, that just applies to my own situation. Just get your TSH levels checked and that could help you figure out what's going on.
Anonfor sure nasty.. I am a convert from synthetic to natural dessicated thyroid and if your doing gear with hgh, it is the best way to go. The naturals have T4, T3, T2, and T1, along with calcitonin in the concentrations that the body needs to function optimally.. I'd hate to mess with a good thing if the synthetics work for you, but do some research and you might be surprised at what you will find.
AnonHow old are you? Do you train or exercise at all? Doing so will release natural endorphins that will help you sleep and make you feel better. Tell your doctor you want a natural thyroid. I don't know where you are from but you can get Armour or Natures Thyroid and those work way better than a synthetic.. You would rather have low thyroid than many other things that could be an issue..Quite frankly it is very difficult to help/diagnose issues on a forum. Slippery Slope is quite correct though.. Steroids will NOT fix this. However, I am not so quick to recommend a pill for help with what looks like depressive symptoms.. anti depressants and anti anxiety medications increase the frequency and intensity of future episodes.
I am going to be 30 in few months. Me and training are not good friends at all which is stupid on my side. I was thinking of including training in my life from now on. I was always thin but gained about 8 kg the past 2-3 years. I had the best metabolism ever. I could eat anything and still be thin. Not anymore though. I was thinking of change my lifestyle by exercising and then slowly get into a good cycle but will need some advise on what to start with and when. Thanks for your interest. Really appreciate that.
AnonWith not knowing what is happening for you physiologically, the best I can tell you right now is to get into a routine and get yourself regular exercise. Take the thyroid if you need it, you WILL feel better if that is part of the problem. Do yourself a HUGE favor and wait as long as you can before you start using gear. The better base you have naturally will only enhance the effects of the gear.
Great will do that. Thank you
No seriously I was thinking of starting a cycle, so I want to know if that will help me?
No, steroids will not help. You should try two things in my opinion.
1) Improve your diet (cut out sugar, limit caffeine, and eat lots of fresh vegetables), get on a good vitamin, mild to moderate exercise everyday.
2) Visit a good therapist and see if they recommend a psychiatrist/medication.
Good luck
Thank you for your response
will try this. I don't really want to see a therapist and go on crazy pills lol.
Was thinking on starting a cycle with Anavar. Will this make me moody or will boost my energy? Plus I'd love a nice body.
Yeah, I can understand that, but sometimes if we want certain things in our lives we have to bite the bullet and do what it takes to get them. If you want to improve your mood, you need to try diet and exercise and if that doesn't work you need to get help from a professional.
Anavar may improve your mood but the effect will go away as soon as you stop use, and if you continue to use for too long, it will fuck your body up permanently. Plus, if your diet and training are shit, it will do nothing for you.
