I just want to say good luck to all the competitors and job well done. Everyone, and I mean everyone, did a fantastic job. This EBC kept me in check and totally changed my whole plan about winter bulking. I probably would've been bigger but with more BF and I probably wouldn't of liked that. I learned a lot about the importance of diet and will take this with me. Thank you all.

You've all worked hard. Very fucking hard. Take a break... Pm's IMHO, are just that. Private! Some of you shit talkers are lucky that Pm's, are indeed private. Also that there are men with morals, working hard behind the scenes, making this thing & this whole fucking site run smoothly... You guys have all worked hard. Some harder than others of course, but I'm sure all gave it their all. So to speak. Some just didn't have the proper training, mindset, circumstances, etc, etc, etc... Some IMHO had a leg up, Like not listing certain compounds they actually or something... Just relax. Remember there can be only one winner. That being said, you ALL made it to the end. All while we had cookies, donuts, gummi bears. & a freshly brewed pot of coffee. Just calling your name the whole time... So Congrats. Seriously. We've done all we can do. I've voted. You hopefully have, as well. I see this Everyday. & I say this to You all, that feel Let down now. One of the most crucial, yet commonly neglected aspect of training is intensity. How hard people push themselves. Proper training IMHO, requires grit, & determination. So few people are ready to let go of their comfort occasionally. That's the real deal... Making Sacrifices, putting your GOAL ahead of your comfort. There's a huge huge diference in just going through the motions, & really putting maximum effort into a work session. Honestly, In my eyes only 3-4 guys & one girl did that. I voted accordingly. But I again commend each & every single one of you for competing. Thank You!!! It's up to each to be mindful of the human tendency towards comfort & not letting that stifle your progression. Those of the military mindset so to speak. Meaning, knowing that whatever you do in life reinforces your habits & patterns. Quitting or fighting, even if it's just you left. When it's time to push.forward, reinforces this behaviour & makes it more and more likely that you'll do it again, again & again, better the next time. Also Knowing of zombie mode bussiness time, & have honestly more than likely learned little tricks and such to help push through discomfort. For most all, it's something completely new... It's about resolve. Every Time you push on past your discomfort & put your goals before your comfort. Lot's probably feel guilty, maybe. & some now probably feel guilty that they didn't push beyond their own personal comfort a little more & kick it up a notch at the time. This is where the truly elite are separated from the majority. These are the select few that after they reach complete muscle failure, crank out a few half reps or maybe body weight exercises to really finish themselves off. Or even try to hold the fully extended or contracted position as long as they could have... Not everyone can be a winner every time. How you come back after a perceived loss. That is what makes you better. Everyone fails sometimes. It's up to you. Upon leaving the gym or a workout session feeling a little guilty, telling yourself you may have done more, maybe better; to resolve to get a few more reps/sets next time. Focus on progressing, keep moving forward. Don't you dare show up next time valuing your comfort more than your performance. If you do, you'll hear me screaming "Start over. Right fucking now! This continuation, continues until you give all, or quit". There are no losers here. There is however only 1 winner. Hell, you could always buy the new ab quadrangle extreme doohickey on TV

Every single person that finished regardless of placing made huge changes to there bodies and life styles. I know I had to sacrifice ALOT to reach my goal. Lol a lean bulker! Playing with some ideas but carbs are making me sick right now I tried to eat a couple of my wish lists and I was curled up in a ball half the night lol. So I'm just rocking my prep carbs complex mainly granola Yukon golds etc but the non-complex uuuggghhh me n them don't get along to well right now lol. Those are the kinds I still crave...a little.

sgtstedankoThanks (all of you guys & gal) I mean that sincerely. It was something that I had to learn. If you've read my sticky'd training post you see that I switch up training quite often very quickly even in one 20 week cycle... I spend on cycle w/brother iron & beautiful sister steel. & spend off cycle basic weights & the rest of the time going strictly body weight w/ruck... What's the harm in a good overall critique of your regime? Might as well. I spend more time thinking of that than I do cycles to run. Hell, anyone will tell you my cycles are pretty basic straightforward. That's how I like it. For me if you keep your body guessing, there's no need to run more elaborate cycle/s. At least not yet : )

phil113kgHere is my take on judging when it came to proportion; for me the rule of thumb for each contestant was to show both upper and lower body. To have a well balance physic that makes a complete package. Some did not post pics of that. Presentation; not only does lighting, color, quality of photos come in mind but also posing properly. These are some of the traits that I look for when it comes to casting my vote. Though there is something that I don't understand and that is why some got three stars on proportion when I can't see their wheels.
Legs were'nt required in the entry pics, that's why i didn't put them inthe finals...u can still get a pretty good idea of proportion just from upper body...
phil113kgLMAO you've got to be kidding me!!! Did I miss something? When did legs get excluded? At my gym I see a lot of cartoon figures, all upper body and no legs but stilts. I can't get a good idea of proportions by looking just at the upper body. Tell me if I'm wrong, this is a EBC and not an EUBC ( EROIDS UPPER BODY CONTEST)?
umm dude scroll up and read the rules, it says no where that legs should be in the pics, personally my legs match the rest of my body but it wasn't required...

Okay if so then they don't tell you to show up with a complete package (unless it's the wheel chair category) they expect you to without saying it verbally. It's up to the individual to have the sense to do it if they want to win or present themselves the best they can. So what's the difference in this case. Here is something to ponder, most pro shows don't hand out 20K to the first place winner. You're lucky if you can walk away with several grand. Now try to convince me otherwise.
True it WOULD have been better, but i didn't put them in my entry pics so u would have had nothing to compare them to, i am no pro and neither is this ebc for pro's. I am an amateur by all means, so this is all new to me. Live and learn bro, not sure why you're getting so worked up about it.
phil113kgNo I'm not worked up about it. It saddens me that some have slacked on some details that I expected to be met. Some wolf smacked for 10 weeks and failed to pay attention to the small details while others did just the opposite and got less of a score.
Well from what i see so far it seems as if the guys who slacked off all year and finally decided to lose some weight for some free gear are getting more recognized then the guys (myself included) that work hard all year to stay in good shape, and yeah i know u think i didn't make any progress but that's just your opinion. I think it's a lot harder to lose weight while building new muscle then to just lose 20 lbs regardless of how much muscle you're losing with it. So those small details you're talking about would matter if this was a real bb'ing comp, but it's not. It's more like the show 'the biggest loser' which is exactly what i recall tread saying he didn't want it to become.
