Fuck yes it can be anyone. But based on some pics I've seen compared to others I see a few competitors who catch my eye. I'm sure Tread has seen some he likes too. I mean we all have eyes brother. But I give u my word our minds are going into this judging with zero pre-set favorites. Judging will be completely unbiased. I'm sure Whoever kills it wil win. I honestly don't even want to pick the winner. That's why they pay Tread the big bucks

Well it took some digging (24 pages) But here was the explanation Tread-M gave in the beginning, things may have been adjusted at this point we'll know soon enough.
tread-mYuuuuuup...I've put some time into this points sytem brother and it will follow those original thoughts. The system attempts to not punish people in great shape yr round by allowing them to score well within the criteria but it also allows a first timer or newb as it were a chance to score high with great change and hard work. Point will be, every competitor no matter what their start place has an equal shot. If it were just about who looks the best at the finish line before pics would not even be nedded. We would all just show up and compete just like in a BB contest and the winner is the winner. The person that looks the absolute best and who would absolutely hands down win a BB contest with all theses same competitors my not win this unless there overall achievment is "the best".
So the system is very difficult to get fair. Truth is given the dynamic we have here it can't be 100% fair. Nothing really is and so we call it life. We get over it and we walk it off right. So some may look at the winner and say "how did the winner only lose 3% BF and beat a guy that lost 8% BF?" You would have to look at all the facts. Fact one in that scenerio, maybe. The winner went from 10%-7% bf and we have to think, that 3% bf is where "real work" begins. Thats 8 % another guy/girl lost was the easiest 8, from 18-10 for example. Any of us who have lost a lot of bf at one time or many know the real work begins at 10. Anyone can lose weight, this is not a weight loss contest. Thats not to say either that the guy/girk that went from 18-10 can't beat the person that went from 10-7. If that person were to drop that 8%, show serious recomp and has great proportion, certainly when compared to start place then they have a serious shot. Even a shot to beat that person who is now at 7 if the person at 7 didn't score as high in all the categories as the person who lost the most weight. The weight by itself means little. There has to be achievement in all areas to win and or to place if you lost 100 lbs and didn't prove you did more serious work than the others , you don't have a shot. Work will be obvious and coupled with the human condition in a small way with a very strict scoring criteria where the science of the competition comes in the real winners will prevail.

Tread-M, GS9902, It says posing lighting and background need to be the same. Can the shorts or tops (for women) be changed? We've dropped a couple sizes since then as I'm sure some of the others have.

tread-mGS is right on here brother, we're reasonable people and understand these issues. Same with background lighting etc, I know at least 2 members that have had to move aand make other arrangments for shoots and thats an understandable issue. We ask you do your best to make it as close as possible and the main reason for that is fairness to you. If we have pics that are close in lighting and background its easier for us to see the obvious changes as opposed to being distracted by other issue. When you compare and contrast the less that is different the easier it will be to focus on the real differences , which are you. If the background is different and lighting quite different and we are running comparisons of before and after there is more there to keep the eyes busy and that might mean the true differences will get less attention as to your body change.
As to costumes, size will change and maybe you can't even use an identical smaller size trunk etc, in that case we will agin have another distraction but I think that it would be quite minor when compared to a major background or lighting change. We'll work with what we have based on the reality of change in some peoples lives but if it were me, I'd want the biggest if not only change in the before and after pics to be me. Meaning all focus is on me and not other things to distract judges from the hard work I did.
So the Lime Green Flashing LED "I love Tread and GS" Thong might be a distraction? I guess I could leave the batteries out? LOL ;-)
