I’m going to be blunt- this is not the most interesting Fight Night card, but a couple fights could prove me wrong.

Cannonier Vs. Rodrigues is Jared Cannonier’s last real chance to prove that he deserves to be at this level despite being 40 years old. Coming off 2 losses he is determined to prove he still has it. Rodrigues is a Brazilian masterclass and no slouch at all- Rodrigues is favored to win, but it should be a technical match with the potential to turn into a slug fest.

The only other fighter I am fairly familiar with on this card is Calvin Kattar. I give him props… the UFC has thrown top 10 contenders at him back to back in short periods and he has never backed down- even when he should’ve. This has caused him to be on a 3 fight loss streak, and is 1-4 since 2022. Underdog isn’t even the word. The betting odds are huge on this one and truly has potential to be a devastating upset.

Overall with how much the UFC has been bringing in I think they could start doing a little bit better on these Fight Night cards… especially for how much they try to charge now. This will be one I watch the highlights of and/or stumble upon a stream.
