+ 7 Oral steroids and the possible ties to hypoglycemia?

ad

This has been something i have had issues with before and wanted to know other members opinion, experiences? Due compounds like oral winstrol and anavar steal glycogen in an effort to gather nutrients to feed the muscles and give us amazing pumps and fullness/hardness but leave our bodies at a possible low blood sugar state or hypoglycemic. First off, i have never had any family history of sugar related diseases or diabetes and in my life never experience any possible red flags that point to this, all my bloods have been great over the years.
There seems to be a weird correlation to me between oral steroids and this horrible feeling, If you have never experienced it, it is, a terrible shakiness and cold sweats followed by extreme fatigue and even vision blurryness and ghostly pale complexion at the time of the onset of symptoms. I have talked to several bodybuilders and juicers who have experienced the same thing and also were taking these type of oral compounds. I have heard of tren also doing this and just figure the protein synthesis in these compounds and nutrient uptake is so strong that if not eating proper nutrition exactly on time throughout the day you can fall into this shitty state of weakness. With that being said i've done a lot of research that suggest similar theories and heard more stories of anavar related experiences than winstrol, i run these things all the time and rarely even if ever have a high liver enzyme reading let alone any read flags for sugar or diabetic related symptoms and it doesn't always happen, but the few times it has it was all bad, and something i never wanna feel again!
I'm hoping other members can shine light on this topic and help narrow down ways to help anyone going through this or anyone who knows what i mean. Almost every solid and sound advice on anything gear or bodybuilding related has come from my brothers on this forum, please share any thoughts or experiences, i've since had the finger pinned test and all was well in sugar world, i hope this article helps someone!!btw i did put this in proper format with paragraphs but it won't save like that:)

Bro same thing is happening to me on sdrol and that loves glyco but I also thought it might be my gh too messing with my igf levels

I get those symptoms with or without gear....I think it is more than tied to muscle mass and the constant state of rebuilding we are in.

Never had this happen to me on var can't tell u about any other orals as this is the only one I have used. I would agree with Makwa here though as I have felt this feeling numerous time when either fasting or running a very lean low carb diet. Yes it is glucose related for sure. Orange juice always took care of this problem for me. Don't think it is the Aas as much as it is the diet and carb level. Carbs=glucose. Good luck..

i dont know what causes it, but i have felt that i was going hypo from orals before, specifically more harsh orals, dbol and supderdrol. usually its inbetween meals. i have had it happen a few times, usually after a week or so of being on those orals. i dont run either of those anymore lol.

Interesting! I too like others have experienced it. If memory serves me correct it was while running anavar. Don't run orals any longer but just as you described, cold sweat, followed by dizzyness on the verge of passing out. I remember instinct taking me right to the ladies chocolate/candy stash. It did scare the shit out of me when it would happen. Never heard of glucose packets..(thank you Makwa and Miss GRRL) Will have to pick some up just to have on hand. Like I said it has not happened since but definitely good to have. Great post brother...knuckles

Never put those together but now that you mention it I always tended to get that feeling within the hour popping my tbol or var... Damn I thought I was just weird though

This has happened to me a number of times, it's an awful experience to. The worst time it happened i completely soaked a t-shirt throughout, i couldn't manage that doing the most extreme cardio lol.

Gotta through down some food quick, usually sugary foods do the trick for me. I think it's the almost instant weaknesses that gets me the most, I'm not kidding i wouldn't even be able to defend myself against a kid when I feel that.

I've never related it to orals, but was using dbol when I got it all couple of times. But when I'm using any orals in the future I'll see if it gets worse or not.

Good post bro, i didn't even know what it was lol. Just thought it was one of those things.

I get this off tren and anavar I've found that keeping a protein bar and some cola around works a treat for me I don't get the vision problem or the pale complexion but an uncontrollable urge for sugar/food as soon as I drink the cola it goes then the protein bar lasts me till my next meal. I've noticed this happens mid morning between 9.00am and 11.00am hope this helps buddy

Great topic!!! We spoke yesterday about me going thru this. It scared the shit outta me. I ran to the store for food . I too have no history of this in my family either. I'm on test ,tren, adrol now. All I cud see was sugar at the store and as soon as I had some in my system I was back to normal as fast as it came. I was shaking, sweting and loosing my mental focus fast. After a payday and some food I was fine. Idk man I wish I had some shine to put on this but this is what happened and thanks for being thier when it went down.

I have never heard of them causing anyone to go hypo. Var and winni are typically what I would call cutter steroids so when someone is using these they are likely using them along with a cutting diet. Cutting diets consist of low carbs. Now....pair those low carbs with intense training and cardio that goes along with cutting and you have a recipe for going hypo. Happened to me several times last prep, when my carbs got real low with cardio sometimes 2x/d along with weight training. When carbs are higher, no problems. So I think it is more diet related than AAS related.

LOL........ why not write a post up about your experiences and methods regarding steroids, all i see you doing is Trolling other members.... its a bit sad really when you are trying to sell yourself as an Alpha male but coming across as a right little kiddie ;(

Man up dickhead and do something productive for a change or just fuck off somewhere else where you can play Big Dog with the other Kiddies.

I carry glucose packs with me at the gym. When I feel it coming on I have to pop one of those packs.

kodiakGRRL's picture

i used to use them when i was doing triathalons ............ you can get them at the vitamin shop or even a local bike shop should carry them ... the chocolate one was my absolute favorite ;-)

The stuff I used was GU (goo) gel. I actually haven't bought any myself. There are alot of crosscountry skiers and cyclists where I work out and after I got all glassy eyed and hypo during spin class they all pulled out their GU packs and gave them to me. They kept me well supplied with them after that. Apparently a lot of long distance type athletes use this stuff to keep energy levels up during a race or training. I am sure you could pick them up off amazon or some similar type of glucose gel. The cinnamon apple pie flavor is pretty good by the way.
