Need some advice on a quick cut asap!

I'm doing a race with a girl I like and want to go shirtless you know. Im at 8.6 BF with 3 spot digital calipers. I was looking into some contest prep stuff like 3 day depletion with high water intake than 2 day carb up lower water intake. I was wondering if this worked or if someone can point me in the right direction for this type of information. I wan't to take nice abs to he's gonna get some tonight.
