Stream Linning your Waist Line??? Is there a right way?

ad

As the great sport of bodybuilding increases not only in popularity but as a lifestyle.
I'm left with a one major question?
As we train, and we get older, it seems to be that our CORE muscles, our oblique, seems to only increase.
I try and do my research, and here are the main answers I'm getting, so anyone's input is appreciated.

  1. Don't do core unless your 2 months out of a show
  2. Belt up all the time
  3. Belt on only on heavy set's
  4. Stomach Vacuum?

This is what I've always been told and heard.

  1. There is a time and place for core training. Leg day is not that day. So belt up.

  2. Proper posture as far as standing and sitting upright will help give you that flatness that everybody wants on thier stomach. By relaxing and letting the "gut" hang will give you that round stomach look regardless of the fact that you have abs.

  3. I've heard that oblique training as far as twisting motions will help pull your stomach in. I've been told that works and I've also been told that is just "bro-science".

  4. Ronnie Colman came in the Olympia one year with the slimmest waist line That he ever got on stage with. When asked how he is it he said " Joe Wieder told me to always wear a belt and always walk and sit with my stomach sucked flat". (Not all the way in like a vacuum pose)

I don't know if any of these answers are relative to your queation but I figured I'd throw in my .02.:-/

It's appreciated, if you have anymore idea, please let me know.
It's easier to try and learn to shrink your waist line, then re size your back.
The oblique work sounds very interesting, I definitely will try to add in some more oblique work.
