I rock a 13mm for heavy DL and Squat and Over head press.. I've had the same one for over a decade and it's still in great shape. Inzer makes quality gear, my next one will be the lever action belt but I'm not looking forward to breaking in a new one.

And the power belt doesn't give a false sense of security, if your aware that the purpose of a belt is not to support the spine from the outside but to enable you to create a higher internal pressure that supports the spine and bowels from the inside than there is no reason your abs and lower back should not get stronger while using it. I never go over 405 without that support. at 500+ plus pounds all it takes is a nano second of off breathing or instability and you can loose that gut pressure without a belt and seriously damage yourself for life in a number of ways. Has nothing to do with form at all.

If your concerned about your raw weight ability, using a belt is a sure fire way to increase that, just like doing partial reps, or using chains or bands. Its a tool. Can be used or misused.

I like this one too, and I have it in 10mm. The 13 mm is better left for cats who are lifting a hella lot more than I am Biggrin

2nd this. And a belt give you fake strength and a false sense of security. Gotta throw away the ego, use good form, and lift!!
