+ 3 Melanotan II - An Amazing Peptide - An Overview w/references from http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

ad

I was familiar with Melanotan II but until I purchased a copy of Dr. Thierry Hertoghe's Hormone Handbook, I wasn't aware of the extent of its diverse benefits. My piqued curiosity led me to do a thorough search for related studies on http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed. The pic seen here is the overview I based on Hertoghe's book and my search. I couldn't cover everything in this one page document so if you have questions, please send me a FR and PM me.

I believe Melanotan II should be given serious consideration by anyone practicing anti-aging and life extension strategies.

I purchased my MT-II from purchasepeptides.com. their product quality and service are exemplary.

Because the links are not active in the attached pic, I include them here:

FR accepted. That's right at dilution of 2 ml instead of 1 ml, you would double the dosage. My wife uses .015 ml dosage so it makes it .03 ml instead. That is perfect in a .5 cc insulin syringe because it is three graduation marks. I don't have to split hairs! ;-)

When I first started using MT-II, I was doing the standard 1 ml dilution and didn't see any bruising or other reactions of any kind. I do all my B-12 diluted injections subcutaneously. I use super fine 31 gauge needles that are only 5/16 " long. I prefer the skin on my thighs and am vascular enough that I just use the areas between all the veins. My wife prefers the abdominal area about even with the height of the navel. She too has had no reactions or bruising with either the standard dilution or doubled.

Sometimes, I wonder if people are getting reactions from their bac water. Still I'm using benzyl alcohol in my B-12 so I would think that would be about the same as bac water. The largest dose of MT-II I tried was .15 ml at the double dilution and still no reaction. The largest dose I tried at the standard dilution was .05 ml with no reaction.

The standard dilution rate is 1 ml per 10 mg vial and that is how the doses are quoted. However, some like to use a larger amount in order to make the very small doses more manageable. I have seen several references to using 10 ml but I personally prefer to use 2 ml. I also use one of the two forms of bio-identical Vitamin B-12 (hydroxocobalamin a.k.a. hydroxycobalamin) which I get in pharma-grade from Germany. I mix it with benzyl alcohol (0.9 %) in a sterile bulk vial for diluting my HGH, AMP, etc. I'll be 65 in October and as we get older, it is more difficult to absorb B-12. I also take Metformin for anti-aging purposes and it is known to block the ability to absorb B-12 from the digestive tract. So, it's a good way to get around the problem.

What about reports of white spots and blotches? All the m2 fanboys say its just a fungus called tinea versicolor. But I would think they would have noticed such a thing after getting real tans without the melanotan. I'm just concerned it could be antibodies to m2 that are attacking melanin/melanocytes.

I've seen talk about it on some other forums but nothing concrete. I suspect the white spots were already there but showed up when the tanning caused more contrast. But that's just more speculation.

Any negative sides?

I'm a cyclist and cycling coach so I'm out in the sun quite a bit. I like the idea of getting protection from the UV from the increased tanning without increasing the exposure. Plus it is helping to even out my farmers (cyclists) tan fairly well. My biggest problem is adjusting the dose for balancing the tanning effects with the erectile improvements! lol

The only sides I'm aware of are related to overdosing: Darker tan than intended, slight swelling of the face, flushing of the face, excessive sexual stimulation, sensitivity or potency, nervousness, excessive weight loss, nausea, loss of appetite, and blood pressure drop. Hence starting at the low end of the recommended dosage ranges and proceeding slowly seems prudent.

Pretty interesting stuff. +1

I've gotten pretty dark in a couple of weeks, lost 5 pounds, and those were just the "side benefits"! ;-)

Always wanted to try melanotan but not if it will make me lose weight :(

pathtaker's picture

From reading most of the studies, lean body mass is maintained while only fat is lost and the effects are more pronounced in the obese so are not likely to be a problem for someone who is already at or near their ideal body composition/weight.

But without all the sides! Smile It's also good to know that the peak effect is at about 6 hours post injection. That plus one of Muta's Supermans should be magical!!!
