3rd cycle, first in 20 years, 8 weeks in

I started my Test E/ Eq cycle 8 weeks ago and have gained 6 pounds while getting a bit leaner. I just increased my Eq to my target dose of 600mg/wk last week and have been on 500mg of Test E every week. The gains seem to have noticeably started after a couple of weeks, at least in terms of vascularity and strength, but the weight gain started about week 5 and has been solid, lean 1-2 pounds per week.

I think I'm at about 12%--I have veins in my shoulders, arms calves and thighs, but still a little softness around my waist. Probably an inch of BF to lose there to make it to 8%.

I'm feeling great, and no untoward side effects yet. If I can gain 10 pounds with some recomp on this cycle, I might have found my cycle of choice, at least for a bit.

The larger pic is pre-cycle, back in July. The smaller thumbnail is today, 8 weeks in. Subtle, but noticeable changes. Definitely moving in the right direction.

Holy crap! I just realized I've been miscalculating my weeks on cycle. For some reason I was thinking I stared mid-August, but I just went through my calendar and remembered that I started mid-September and found I'm on week 5, not week 8. I work too much.

I'm glad I made the effort to trace back. I've now learned a lesson--put the cycle beginning and end dates and dates for planned changes in my calendar BEFORE I start. Duh.

So the good news is I've seen some reasonable progress and I'm earlier in than I thought I was.

I agree with the triceps comment, but ain't hating on you at all my man! You look tight as fuck and if i look that good when i'm 39 ill be one happy man. Keep up the good work! Also I love running test-e and EQ. I think 600mg is the ideal dose. How long you planning on running this cycle? For me it takes a long time to see great gains off EQ, so i usually run Test-E n EQ together for atleast 14 weeks. Thats just me tho. I know your critical of your mid-section in your post, but for 39 n just doin your first cycle in 20 years, you look fine. My mid section always lags behind cause i live my life and eat what i want. I try n stay lean n clean, but im a fool for sweets now n then. Anyway, all in all, nice work and if the larger pic is really a pre-cycle photo most guys on this site dont even look that good post cycle. Cheers

Thanks, mate. Triceps are short, forearms are narrow and my outer calves are super short. When I was younger it bothered me, but now I look, feel and function like men half my age, while most guys my age seem 15 years older than me, so it doesn't seem to be the big deal it used to be. Just trying to be the best me I can be.

I'm planning on running the cycle for 20 weeks, 18 on the Eq. I made a mistake in being cautious and ramping up my Eq dose over a few weeks, so I'm extending my cycle a bit. I'm on TRT, so bounce back isn't a real problem in terms of cycle length.

Thanks, mate. Critique is always taken in the spirit in which it is offered, so I appreciate it.

I have plenty of weak points. My tris are up there among them. I have high attachments and short muscle bellies in my tris. They look ok from the side but short from the back. I'm working on them, but I think I'll never be Mr Anything. I'm ok with that, though.
