Not Monitoring Your Blood Pressure???

How many of you check your blood pressure daily when you are on cycle? I am sure less than 10 percent of you reading this that do partake in using steroids actually take their blood pressure at least once daily while they are on. Why is this a problem with some lifters? Are you really that lazy? Remember many lifters don't even know they have high blood pressure unless they check it and that is why it is called the "Silent Killer".

I suggest to all my lifters no matter what sport they train for that if they are on cycle they should monitor their blood pressure a minimum of once daily. If you have been one of those guys who has had a blood pressure problem in the past then I recommend that it is done twice daily; maybe buy a home blood pressure monitoring system. It's not that expensive and for the price of a big tub of protein you will have something that will last you years of use. This machine is worth its weight in gold; one of the biggest problems that occurs in powerlifters and bodybuilders is cardiac conditions with high blood pressure topping the charts.

This condition is no laughing matter and you need to address this properly if you want to avoid many of the diseases it can manifest itself as latter in life. Chronic high blood pressure can contribute to peripheral artery disease, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, heart failure and vision failure leading to blindness.

We all know that some of the most effective mass builders like Anadrol, Testosterone and Trenbolone in their different forms can wreak havoc on blood pressure scores. With Testosterone this mainly happens when the dose starts climbing in the 2,000 mg per week zone. Now when it comes to Trenbolone and Anadrol, I have seen guys using them for the first time struggle with this problem right off the bat. You see, these two drugs are very potent and because some people are very sensitive to them, it can trigger high blood pressure problems right away. Even doing as little as 50 mg of Anadrol per day and 75 mg of Trenbolone Acetate every other day, they still can cause this upsurge in blood pressure readings. Some people are so sensitive to the sides of Trenbolone that they cannot even use it at all and I have seen this many times. You need to monitor your blood pressure daily while on cycle, even if you have never had a problem in the past. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Great write up and reminder to us all. +1

I hope everyone in their mid thirties and above are taking special note of this. Even on TRT doses, your BP can be raised significantly, especially as we age.
I always had perfect BP throughout my life. I got on TRT in my mid-forties and I wasn't feeling 100%, so I got my BP checked. It was at a dangerous level. I was only on 180 mg of test a week, but that did it. I tired some "natural remedies", but they only helped a little. I manned up and went to the doctor and he got me on a BP medicine (low dose) and it did the trick.
I would of never thought to check it, because I had always been great when i was younger.
I hope everyone makes checking their BP a standard procedure when they're on cycle and even off. Life is long and you want to be there for everything.

Yup another good read. +1

Just had a little BP problem myself.. headache, eye twitching, flush red... donated blood today; I'm all good XD

Definitely can't go wrong regularly donating blood either! I do it every 8 weeks to keep RBC and hemocrit in check.

I use to just give, so I felt better about myself.. kinda got behind on it; so glad to give blood again...

I bought one of those wrist blood pressure monitors off of amazon for around $50. Good investment. I track BP daily. Good to know what compounds negatively affect your BP as well by tracking your BP regularly. For me, tren, test, mast, no problems. But anavar slightly bumps it up.

I did the same exact thing and I've monitored it daily twice a day. Always good to ensure bp is in check.

On point bro +1. What I don't understand is trying to control real BP problems with homeopathic remedies. It's like Chinese herbs or seeing the witchdoctor and having him do a circular dance around you.

Get a stinking script ! Go to the fucking doctor ! I take Metoprolol Succinate ER for my anabolic induced hypertension. Now I don't have a problem. And, yes, I have a home BP monitor. Great idea !

Good post bro +1.
I actually have a bp monitor thing at home and check quite frequently. I have only been running 600 test a week, so it has always been fine... Pretty much just check it for fun. I guess it will be a good habit for when I explore other compounds.
Thanks for contributing!

i usually do mine 3-4 times a week. I have to go to CVS to use there machine but Im probably gonna invest in my own very soon. Its cheap enough and so important. High blood pressure can cause so many other problems other then just stokes and heart attacks so its really important to keep a very close eye on it. So far mine has been absolutely perfect on tren. The highest I've seen on this cycle was 120/ 75 which is perfect and I'm usually more like 115/70. Cant ask for much more then that. Great post bro. +1
