What am i looking for in a thyroid panel blood test

My want my next blood test will be a thyroid panel or include
My question is what am i looking for?
Many test have some raiation on whats seen below but some are more expensive then others, Im not trying to be cheap but id rather no spend $120 on a test that a $60 test will tell me....
- Thyroid Profile w/ TSH: T3 Uptake; T4 (Thyroxine), Total; Free T4 Index (T7); Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
and
2.T3 Uptake; T4 (Thyroxine), Total; Free T4 Index (T7); Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
or
3.Tri-iodothyronine (T3), Free, Serum
T4 Free (Immunoassay)
Thyroxine-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
1 is a panel included in another including test and igf
2 and 3 are different prices 3 being more but looks like 2 is the same as 3 why is it less $

Do thyroid profile w/tsh. It has all you need. I get this one when I don't get hormone panel unisex which has all that plus test, estrogen and igf 1 along with a bunch of other stuff

What are your reasons for wanting the thyroid labs, by the way?
Few reasons
1. I always wondered if my thyroid was off, due to weight at young age that stuck with me thru out my life
2. Base line before I go further into this lifestyle
3. Why not? Lol
QtripsOh, I agree with you. Get the labs, absolutely. Don't forget RT3 though, it's very important.
