Pin rotation as well as pinning techniques (depths and angles) are factors very few even know about never mind are even conscious of

Whats it mean if you put pin in the delt and the plunger wont plunge even after you aspirate

catkinson's picture

Yep scar tissue..or maybe pinning into an undispersed prevoius injection.

ahahahaha hey Steveb you are right on. Pushed the oil out too hard. I like 23g for the gluteus the oil comes out easier BUT the 25g I panic I guess. Learned a lesson. ahahaha thanks

Yea. Raws is thick. Takes like 5 mins get that baby in without tearing up that tissue on a 25g 1.5.
22 or 23 is my go too with this stuff

When I'm on cycle I draw with an 18g and pin with a 25g. When off cycle (trt) I draw and pin (delts) with a 1/2" 29g slin. I use my wife's hair dryer to heat the vial and again on the slin and it injects just as smooth as the 25's. Only difference is the amount I inject.

22 or 23? Fuck it just use a harpoon smh

Commish's picture

22 or 23 gauge isn't shit. If that's too big you guys are in the wrong game.

I have been using 21 gauge for glutes and 22 gauge for delts with zero issues since 2012. Heat up the filled plunger with warm water, switch out a fresh pin from the one I used to draw.
And the pin goes in like a dart, the way it should, they way they teach in nursing school.
Never had a lump, irritation, pip nothing ( excluding suspension/ TNE. Everyday injections of of these componds at 2-4 pins a day does get irritating).

If your technique, angle and rotation is on point the minute difference between these pins are practically unnoticeable, especially for glute injections.

Haha, the wrong game. Ok....
If your hard and dense the oil squirts right out when extracting the needle, why would I want that?
Why the hell would I use a railroad spike when a 25 ga. Works fine?
Btw saw ur post about hairloss and I do have an awesome regiment for that. My beautician and wife can't believe how thick my hair has become in the last 4 months. I was losing alot of hair the last year and a half and now I'm on the rebound. I appreciate my hair, it compliments my appearance significantly.

I get a drop or two comes out, nothing ever squirts out. And I'm dense too buddy.
The leaking topic has been covered on here before, your not losing anything significant.

I use the term wrong game for those freaking abou having to do injections when it's part of the territory.
But by all means small, less damage is always better and if that works for you run it.
But there really is no difference in damage nor pain when using the larger diameter needle.
I noticed my thumb struggeled a little with pushing the smaller needle and for me the larger is smooth like it should be. Definitely not a railroad spike.

That hair thread- it's not me in the pictures. There was another thread going at the time in regarfs to hair loss and my buddy just happened to be doing the PRP at the same exact time. Thought it might help someone out.

Cade35's picture

Well I've had the stuff actually squirt out and blast my girls white shirt. She was about 18 inches from me. Has happened only a few times but the hell with that
And yes I agree, pushing as hard as u can to get tho oils out sucks, this I had to move to the 23 ga. Just to continue using that site (delts)

I have used the 23's for delts aswell and they work just as good.

Commish's picture

Ahhh. The infamous hit a vain, that's why I turned to my surgeon friend when I started. I did that, bugged out, yanked out the needle and sprayed blood all over the place. That's a whole different deal. My girl freaked, the look on her fave was priceless.

Gymfoam86's picture

The go to rook move.... 23g cow pins from tractor supply , THANK GOD somebody invented the internet...

junkyarddesiel's picture

23 really isnt that much bigger then 25.
Not sure what all the fuss is about. I mean if he said 18g thatd be one thing but fuck go get a flu shot and thats what their using 23. What do you do tell the doctor load it in an insulin pin????

Cade35's picture

Yeah but u stick a 22 next to a 25 and its def a noticeable difference. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. Why go bigger if there is no need? To save an extra 10 seconds of my time here on Earth? I have to use bigger ga. In some sites because of scar tissue from pinning the same spot over the years. It sucks but whatcha gonna do, ya know.

Not to save extra time on earth, to have the foreign metal object inside of you for the least ammount of time. The injection should be smooth and uniritatable. I learned this from a surgeon, who taught me how to properly pin when I first started.
But your totally right, its personal preference.

Well put, that is what the Dr. uses for shots.
