Yeh its hard to describe - its Hot and errmm?? What on earth tastes like english mustard does that isn't mustard LOL You'll have to try it bud, when you use tooo much you also get this crazy sensation where it feels like its going up your nose and your eyes run!! Hence the saying 'Too much mustard gets up your nose' Lmao Its not sweet like the American version is. The true test of manliness is if you can dunk your fries in our mustard and use it like you do tomato sauce!!

Like 87 stated, sauerkraut is fermented. There's no vinegar. It's easy to make your own with cabbage and salt.
Well maybe if the kraut is dry it doesn't have vinegar, but all the kraut I've seen is wet and soaked in vinegar to keep it fresh
Real sauerkraut is just cabbage salt and water. The fermentation process gives it that vinegar taste. It’s easy to make and I like eating it in different stages of fermentation.

You can “pickle” anything. You just have to find a brine vinegar base recipe you like and put it into whatever.
