Thanks. Yeah it was good. I’m 47 I don’t really care to much about those days anymore. Haven’t got a long time now lol. Just another day. One doesn’t all the sudden feel older that day and if they do it’s bc of a weak mind set. I feel better at 47 than I did at 35.
Im so happy your doing great my man that’s awesome I played college sports and done dumb shit when I was young amongst others things well beyond my control and I’m around your age and have felt the worst ever well things have changed I’ve switched up my gear use and sets and reps. Shit just kinda went to shit but I’m fighting back and my wife says it’s a mind set and she proves to be right every time lol.
Just keep grinding brother. Yeah can’t lift heavy anymore so I dont try to. I have c4-c7 fused with cage in front and rods in back. I still hit the gym 4-5 days a week but I keep it moderate these days and focus on rep control and mind muscle response. I have a dark past myself and some regrets as there damaged this body bc of it. It is what it is. I say regrets but I do not dwell on them at all. Just wish I’d got smarter sooner that’s all lol. Can’t change the past but only focus on the day and hope for the best in the future.
Dam sorry to hear that that is part of my problem I have a issue with my back going into my ass down in my groin and into my knees I’ve had multiple mri’s it’s messed up my mind as well never had anxiety or depression until this. The doctors I’ve seen say it was a birth defect and nothing they can do except meds and I don’t want to be on them daily I will only take them when I can barely walk, did the back surgery help, they won’t touch my hip but they say my back is degenerating and will eventually have major issues it’s completely flipped my life upside down.
Yeah it helped after the second one when they went through the back of my neck and added a rod to either side of the cage in front and put titanium wire around it to stabilize it. I had severe nerve damage and had lost more then 50% of the muscle in my right arm up to around d the back of my shoulder. After the first surgery I could hardly lift the right arm but had to go back to work anyway. I work in manufacturing as an header operator making fasteners. It is a highly damaging physical job. I eventually got the use of it back but ended up needing that second surgery by the end of 2024. Still have some issues with nerve damage as it takes a long time to heal and regrow the curves but I’m getting there. Hit the gym 4-5 times a week on average for 8 months now or more.
