No idea. He was a pretty hardcore fanboy so probably something to do with that. Repping, knob slobbing something along those lines I'd guess. Lol what did you do?

Yesir. I've had to lower my weight anyway because of some weird shit going on in my left shoulder that hurts like hell when I curl. Trying to focus on the long head of my triceps to get some more size on my arms.

irongame427's picture

Ahh good old shoulder problems. Welcome to my world I have chronic tendonitis in both of mine and I'm only 24. Had to stop all heavy pushing movements and resort to lighter weight and very slow and controlled high reps. It's an ego bruiser lifting sissy weights but honestly I've gotten better devopement in my chest slowly lifting 70lb dumbells for 12-15 compared to when I used to throw up the 110s for 6-8 . I really miss it though not gonna lie

waterhead235's picture

It sucks cause I'm not seeing any progress in my arms. Everything else is coming along but my arms are suffering because of this damn pain. I'm researching some peptides in hopes of "healing" this shit. Tb500, GHRP 6, and CJC 1295 w DAC.

irongame427's picture

Ya I hear ya but you don't wanna end up like me. Make great progress for a few months then get hurt and be out 3 months repeat the cycle. Lifting lighter sucks but atleast I can continuously progress. My shoulders were all messed up from November till January and all I could do really is legs and some arms but I made no progress. I tried to use strict form with my arms so I didn't further hurt my shoulder but For some reason I I really have to overload them with weight and cheat a little for them to grow. Atleast that's the case for biceps but when you do that you bring the shoulders into the equation which I couldn't do.
I've heard good things about tbout tb500. Thinking about using it myself actually. On top of the shoulder problems I've also got an L4-5 annular tear in my back and some bulging discs from my rugby days. My body's all fucked up. That's the worst cause I can't deadlift anymore and it's such an important excersise. But just take it easy man. Better to lay off for a few weeks then push it and really fuck something up and be out for an extended period of time. I know it's tough to do that tho.

Holy shit bro we have a lot in common. I've got bulging disks at L4-L5 and L5-S1. Starting Monday I'm gonna change to 3 days a week for a little while to give my shoulder some rest. My wife ordered a yoga dvd we are gonna do that focuses on stretching so when that gets here hopefully it will help.

irongame427's picture

The back injures the worst man. I can't run because it's so painful. I miss deadlifts a lot. I tried to start doing high rack pulls a few months ago and I couldn't move the next day. It sucks because it will never heal it's hear for life. How'd you mess your back up? And I would suggest buying bands like the big rubber ones -and doing internal and external rotations with them. I think that's what the movements called but it's help me soo much. It isolates the rotator cuff so it helps strengthen it. I used to do half ass internal and external rotations with little 5 pound plates to warm up but now I do then with cables and really warm them up before I do chest shoulders or back. It's really helped as I haven't had to many problems with my shoulders since I started doing them back in January.

waterhead235's picture

I hurt my back at work when I was 19yrs old, I'm 35 now. The only thing that hurts my back now are heavy squats and heavy deadlifts. Also just about any leg press machine kills my lower back. Good tip on the bands I'll definitely get some and throw them in my gym bag and start doing those internal and external rotations. I always warm up by putting my arm up in an L shape and lowering a light dumbell to the front and raising it back to the top. I can really feel it in my left shoulder so I know my rotator cuff is fucked to some extent.

irongame427's picture

I use the cables in the gym to do the rotations now to warm up. And I think i do what your talking about but also with the cables. Shape of an L but start up with my hand facing the celing and then and rotate down till my hand is facing straight ahead. I do those on the cables to there great. I wish I would have started warming up properly earlier in my lifting career. My shoulders probably wouldn't be all fucked up now. I can do leg press no problem, its just the squats and deadlifts that cause me problems. I don't really care that much about the squats, i can get the same devolvement with hacks, leg press and the huge assortment of other plate loaded leg machines they have at my gym. Its the deadlifts that can't be replaced. Im considering starting them again and just do light weight high reps. But the last thing i need is to really fuck up my back.

irongame427's picture

Yup, you told me to up the volume and lift til there about to fall off 6 weeks ago and it really worked. I wasted so much time listening to the less is more people and being scared of doing to much for them. Should started blasting them along time ago .
