loki12I've done Benin, Togo, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Somalia/Somaliland and was stationed in Djibouti for a time. Crazy places, Badge! The adults are considerably less amicable than the children by and large.
loki12Where were these photos taken? As a Marine of 8 years, I know that third world vibe. Tropical/semi-tropical climate, water collecting under the foundation from frequest rain causing that tell-tale water staining. It's all coming back!

Clean drinking water is something 9/10 people take for granted. We grow up knowing that all we have to do is just turn a knob and there it is, simple as that.
Being employed by a municipal water utility I quickly realized that providing clean water to a municipality can be literally upwards of billions per year and there are A LOT of places on this planet without this luxury and this is a massive cause of disease.
Again, my hat is off to you sir.

It's good to see where the contributions go to. Are these distillers?
AnonFrom what I understand the system creates Chlorine gas out of regular table salt (sodium chloride) and water by separating the molecules. It passes chlorine gas through the water. Once the process is complete the water stays sterile and the chlorine passes out of the water and makes it safe to drink. For those of us who have had to use chlorine tablets you know what it does to your throat and stomach, it's pretty gross. Since it's a gas it is able to kill everything in the water without leaving the chlorine in there. It's really cool, I watched a youtube video on it, whoever designed it is a genius.
The system is also portable so you can use it on multiple tanks, it runs on solar power as well. It's perfect for small isolated villages.
That's ingenious...you get the sterilization benefits, but also takes care of the negative health effects of drinking chlorinated water over an extended or long period of time. I bought a distiller, for "just in case"...but this looks like it'd be handy to have as well as long as you have table salt.
