Not hiding brother, I will say that there are sources that do care about putting a safe product out there, and they do test..Testing is imperative..lets face it. .the raws are coming from, by and large, unregulated vendors from mostly the yellow side of the world. I dont know about everyone else..but I want to know exactly whats going into my system.And say you have a raw thats 95% pure..okay? Great, but what is the 5%? Are the impurities safe?. I think identifying the impurities is as important as quantifying the percent actives I do think its important that all of this is at least in some way self regulated. Also microbiological testing would be nice to see. .I am way more fearfull of a contaminated product than I am an underdosed..or no dosed oil
Labrat, Do not take wrong way. I see in your profile you used some products that are not human grade. Since you are so fearfull I assume you tested in your laboratory and I am sure you have done the right way. Can you post some informations ?

68QMy questions are ....What are the normal impurities? What will the raw dissolve in that the impurity will not? Can the raw be 100% pure? Is the normal impurities a failure in production or is there a little china man with a mixer and a scoop shoveling shit in to the powder?
Short answer is no you never get 100%, , organic solvents dissolve organic substances, both the raw and impurities will almost assuredly dissolve in the same solvent..this is where gas chromatography and liquid chromatography work..they separate the different compounds in a substance based on their molecular weight and their structure. in gc..they are separated based on the temperature at which they boil..from solid to liquid .to a gas..like a distillery. Then based on the time it takes for them to come out, or elute from the column, that retention time can id the compound..then it goes to the mass spectrometer that, in a nutshell, weighs it, and can quantify it. ..Hope this helps..safe journeys my friend
Impurities are typically byproducts from the manufacturing process itself..you never achieve a 100% yield in chemistry. You have a theoretical yield and an an actual yield. Also you can get stereoisomers of the compound that are not functional or biologically active. Think of it this way..if your right hand is a molecule and the five fingers are atoms attached..now say when you are synthesizing this compound you get right hand compounds..and some left hand compounds..although they are mirror images of each other they arent identical obviously.and the way those fingers/atoms are spacially arranged determines if they function or not...the right handed one may function but the left. does not..and of course you also get byproducts that arent what you want..there are steps that can be taken to further refine the target compound , and, at least in us regulated pharmaceutical industry.they MUST .The USP..the % purity must be 98.0%..In neutraceuticals we are lucky to see 70%. Honestly if the impurities are below a certain percent even the pharmaceutical companies arent required to identify what those impurities are....A little unnerving really but the impure percent is so low it is considered to be irrelevant..Okay now what about the Chinese company that sends something thats 85 or 90% pure?. What are those impurities? Who the hell knows..could be anything..and if you ask them. they aint tellin or you get some bs from the only engilsh speaking rep at their company..if you even get that.
