Starting from scratch

ad

Ok. So I had a few months off from training and it is unbelievable how much I have atrophied. I have never used gear yet. I have never been into bodybuilding but I was a competitive powerlifter for about 5 years. I started training when I was 19 because I was 130lbs. I had managed to get up to 220lbs naturally by the time I was 26. This is the weight I was competing at. I ended up having some hip pain a couple years ago and was trying to fight through but I would go in the gym and bust my ass in pain just to see my gains go backwards. I have squatted 628, benched 424, and deadlifted 633 in a meet. Now, I feel like a big pile of shit. Or should I say small pile of shit...

I pretty much took all winter off and I have dwindled down to about 190lbs. I feel like I have to start all over now. I have been back in the gym regularly again but it is very discouraging. I have pretty much lost all my gains. I know muscle memory is still there and I should come back but it is just embarrassing where I am at right now and downright depressing. When I see people I know they say "Man, you have lost some weight huh?" It's getting rather old.

I have considered doing a cycle just to get myself back to where I was as I am fed up with where I am at now. I feel like what I lost over the last few months will take me more than a year to get back naturally. Anyway, I don't know what I was looking for. Just some thoughts I guess if anybody else has been up and then back down. That is the main reason that I would turn to using gear at this point. I just don't wanto to get on and then come off and be worse than I am now. I have spent many hours researching so know what to do for a first cycle. Sorry for the long rant...

Current Stats:
Age: 31
5"10
190lbs
Bodyfat- ?? Never checked

For me I hate being under 200. I remember when I would get so pissed if I got the flu and would get to 210. I felt so skinny losing 10lbs. 30lbs... Well... I feel as if I have the aids.

Yes mate dont be so harsh on yourself. Your legs still have good shape & you have experience, a good base & muscle memory all going for you. Start slowly, getting stricter with the diet & just start getting back into the weights slowly. Once you get the feel you can start pushing harder. You know how it works

See how you go after 3 months or so, im sure you'll be feeling alot happier & than look to a cycle

ONLY 30 lbs! Haha. Well thanks. I know u all can be pretty brutal (although some need it) so I appreciate the nice remarks but when I look in the mirror right now I see a skinny p.o.s. I have lost a lot of mass and tone.

You look a lot better than most who have fallen off the horse and tried to get back up. You look good man and you'd be better off putting in the work and getting back up there natural and then doing a cycle. You'll be a monster Smile

Thank you. Appreciate the encouragement.

Thanks. Yes, I know what to do for 1st cycle and have all that on hand. I just dont wanna start yet as I feel I need to build my base back up. It just sucks after having months off from training.

I had bloods done a year and a half ago and they were normal. I actually was hoping they were low so I could get a script. ;)
