+ 20 Leg day

ad

Every Sunday, without fail, is quad day. Never skip it, ever. Thank you to all of the guys who gave me advice over in the training section, I truly appreciate it. I've been hitting different rep schemes and adding in some new exercises trying to add more size. And since I was recently told "pics or it didn't happen" there's some squat and leg press pics in there too.

Advice/suggestions are always welcome.
Thank you, as always, for being such a supportive, informative community. I've come a long way in the 9-ish months that I have been a member here. I can't wait to see where I'll be in another 9 months with hard work (in and out of the gym) as well as a wealth of information at my fingertips.

Geez Iron look at all those plates. Did every other station in the gym have to pause for you to leg press? lol.

Looking great, as usual. Love those thick quads! Wrap those knees up. 1000 lb leg press is nothing to take lightly (pun intended.) I see the belt in your squat pic, gotta wrap those knees for the leg press. +1 for just being awesome

NoWeakAces's picture

I wrap my knees starting at 7 plates. It's different for everyone. But 10 plates on the leg press (20 total) is 900 lbs plus the weight of the sled... That's enough to do some damage to the tendons if any part of the lift is a little off. Something as small as the angle of your feet could throw off the lift. Your quads are well conditioned to the weight, sometimes much more so than tendons and joints. Knees and back are something we cannot afford to injure. This is the trainer in me speaking, but wrap those knees! Safety first, always. The wife looks up to you. She sees your progress and it inspires her. She is doing great and I DO tell her everyday.
