Is this an infection?
ad
Had this lump on my shoulder since Tuesday from my Monday morning shot. The pip is going away but the lump isn't really going down. At first I thought it was a bug bite or something cuz that's not the exact spot where I put the needle but now I think it may be infected? It's a little warm to the touch and only itches if I put my finger on it. Is there anything I can take over the counter to help out? Please help me out bros

my advide will be same as few other go and see doctor, at least you know if is something serious or not. dont take any medication if you dont know what you dealing with.
RustyhookerDoctor for b12 mishap if you're concerned. Better to go and calm the nerves.
often time a infection will be painful, red, and hot to the touch, also accompanied by a fever
AnonI had a fever the Monday nite that I pinned. I found some amoxicillin so I will take that for now until it goes away or I get a chance to go to the doctor.
AnonAlso if I go to the doctor wat excuse shud I use?
From my prior experience....Tell him the truth. They need to know what they are dealing with.
AnonU can't get into trouble for that?
dont tell them that, they will write it down in their file and u will have pay higher insurance
They are not there to judge you...Only get you better. I was worried also.

Told the truth at the er and was just told not to pin there anymore
Spider bite....same treatment
Have you tried taking anything? I am not a medical professional or anything but what I would do is try taking some NSAIDS and see if it goes down. Did you do anything that would make you think its infected?
AnonWa are NSAIDS? And no I didn't do anything to think I was infected I woke up swabbed my shoulder swabbed the vial and pinned but the pin did feel different then normal. It burned going in more then usual and it bled more than usual afterwards
Keep you eye on it especially if it is warm. Had one of those years ago that i let go to long and was rushed into surgery, I would go see Dr ASAP. Maybe load up on antibiotics if you have some laying around. Nothing OTC will help. If it starts to form white raised head.....probably to late.
Good luck
