So possible tear of my lat tendon. Possible third surgery this year. Wonderful
hello really sorry to hear about your lat injury 2 surgeries and other problems and still training and thinking about the best way to train proves you are resilient best of luck with your training and everything else
AnonSorry to hear and see that bro, best of luck and speedy recovery, But as Asshul said below your probably lifting too heavy if its your 3 possible surgery in a year. Rule of thumb, lift 70-80 percent ofyour max and on occaasion max out smartly.
havent maxed out since before i tore my pec. sets of 10. one of the two surgeries i had wasnt lifting related. just been an extremely unlucky year for me. in more ways than just the physical. but i guess ill try and be more aware of how much im actually doing
FFS you are one unlucky boy!
Speedy recovery mate, not as bad as previous injuries from what I understand.
not as bad at all. just demoralizing at this point but nothing i can do. thanks for the wishes. you fully recovered now?
I'd say 70% mate. Can't really shoulder press any more, but isolation movements are largely ok. Still some pain through certain ranges of movement, but I can live with it. All things considered could have been a lot worse.
Tough break for you. Drop me a line if you need to chat / moan etc!
AssUhlIf your tearing and ripping shit back to back bro, your going wayyy too heavy for your amount of muscular strength. Just because the juice allows you to lift an amount of weight, does not mean you should. It seems like your trying to go way too fast and not gradually building up. Its a common mistake that lifting the heaviest weight you possibly can is going to make you bigger. Its all about form and mind-to-muscle concentration. You can lift at 75-80% and focus on making the muscle your working do all the work and maintain perfect or near perfect form and you will grow a lot faster than lifting 100% of what you can and end up hurting the muscles you are and sometimes aren't even working and then your out for a while and your def not gonna grow and sometimes even end up with a permanent or reoccurring injury! Try going lighter and using perfect form and focusing hard on "feeling" the muscle your working do the work. A lot of times when you focus on feeling it, it helps you mentally isolate it.
yea thats what i was thinking was maybe im doing too much but when i look back overall my weights have stayed the same these last 6 months since tearing my pec. all ive done is high reps and full contractions. where i have been stupid is the deads which is where i hurt myself. one factor could be i havent hit chest as hard as i hit my back so maybe the joint is being pulled harder by the muscles in the back than by the muscles in the front?
also way back when muta told me when youre on antibiotics it weakens the connective tissue? and i didnt remember he said that until i hurt myself. who knows either way im going to hit everything the same way. low weight high rep and full contraction.
man TED im sorry bro. just rehabbing a torn pec (pics posted) I think that injury is rare and not as severe as the pec or bi so start your hgh and tb500 now bro. I ran juice straight through my rehab even though I wasn't working out at all for bout 15 weeks. up your calories and protein too
thanks man hopefully its just a severe strain. you completely rehabbed on that pec now? my pec still has a noticeable deformation even after surgery
My shoulder and chest strength is still down but all other body parts back to pre injury strength. no noticeable abnormality in symmetry or shape. when do you get MRI?
had a conversation with the ortho i know and sent him the picture. he said a sever strain of the tendon would cause that. take a week off and if its still off then go get an mri. yea took me about 2 months after i felt i was fully recovered to hit chest again it definitely comes back quick though
RustyhookerOh damn! Im cringin for ya.
Same side as the pec I just got repaired as well.
RustyhookerWhen you return to the weights you're gonna have to lift for volume/pump over raw strength. You'll still grow well. But gotta take care of body.
well ortho i know suggested a weeks rest with icing before i get an mri. hopefully its just a major strain. but yea looks like high rep low weight for me for the unforeseeable future

Damn dude, that sucks. What exercise were you doing when it happened?
Got yelled at for making too much noise doing deads. Next set i didn't have my head in it and picked up 365 with terrible form. Felt a pull and a pop. Put the weight down immediately
Wow, well get healed up bro. The gym will be waiting.
