I try to donate blood as often as I can especially since I heard how important it was for our Hb levels due to increased epo production from exogenous hormones! Also I'm O so they really need me. Surprised to see my Hb that high!! I didn't have time to donate blood the last couple times so this is a good reminder for me to donate as soon as I can not just for myself but for those in need!

Bonfi allows up to I believe 21. Mine was also 18 recently and they said it was high but that they have seen higher.
Also places with low oxygen levels make your body creates more red blood cells, therefore your HB will be higher.
Manateeswimmer5678That is reassuring to read. Yeah, I'm usually on my A game for donating blood, have been flooded with school work for the last few months and delayed the donating process. After this, it will definitely not happen again!
Bro. All that will happen if you go over, will be a doctor giving you meds to bring the count down. A lot of there blood centers will call you every three months and schedule an appointment so you don’t forget.
Also bro my TRY doc just made me check my red blood cell count and I was over 18 too. She didn’t bat an eye and said all looked well. Don’t stress it.
Damn I’m pretty sure 19 is the cut off.
Better get in soon or they woulnt do it.
