Dont sweat it. I've made better gains in my 50s than I did in my 40s.
Out of curiosity pal - have you still been able to make consistent strength gains into your 50's or have you found they peaked in your 20's/30's?
My strength gains peaked in my 40s. I wasted that decade working 1 body part a week. Went back to 2 and the gains came back. I can still get 405 for a rep. I've gotten 2 in the last six months.
Oh yes completely agreed - 2x per week is the best. Once is not enough to keep the movement path primed/learnt and three times is overkill on the joints and muscle. 405 is still a great weight as it means you can comfortably get 315 for 8 which I've always viewed as an awesome weight, not many people can get that even guys that go overkill on trenbolone can't. It requires dedication and consistency to training to hit that
