+ 1 50 on trt

ad

50 yrs old, been lifting forever and recently started trt ... a good buddy of mine talked me into it.

it's test cyp 200mg/ml, and I pin .25 ml eod, puts me at 175 mg per week. Feel good, have a constant pump all the time. Amazing pump at the gym. Strength not going up too much though. Sure would like to throw a little deca in there. Sleep nice at night and wake up with morning wood. Much more stamina at the gym. Overall energy up all the time. Maybe I should drop down a little, maybe 175 a week is too much for trt....?

If you like jabbing yourself, rock on. You're going to need a lot of pin sites though. You are going to end up with scar tissue that really doesn't like to be jabbed, so include your chest and delts. Like JakeKO said that's not necessary with Cyp or Enan. If you want it to actually be necessary switch to a Sust 250 blend or Prop.

Way too much unnecessary pinning for Test Cyp. You can pin Cyp once a week at 250 mg, and get great results. That’s what my doctor prescribed for me thirteen years ago. Needless to say, I liked what it did and joined the lifestyle. If you want to pin that many times per week, use a version of testosterone like Sust, Prop, or Suspension that is faster acting, and will get you quicker results. Sust would be best for your pinning protocol. Don’t forget that diet is everything. Read and learn as much as you can on this site. I’ve learned more over the past six months on eroids than I’ve learned anywhere else in thirty two years. I’ve been visiting this site for nine years to find good sources, yet never created an account until six months ago. One of my dumbest mistakes. Once I started asking questions on here, I started getting great advice, whether I liked hearing it or not (Rusty). Sometimes what you don’t want to hear is what you really need to listen to. Stick around, and you’ll understand what I mean. Good luck with your transformation.

I wish I had a doctor that prescribed me test cyp. How does one go about finding a doctor to do that?
I was thinking that if I continue this for a while, and then stop it and go to the doctor when I think my levels are low then I can get a legit script due to low T, right?

JakeKO's picture

Correct, but you get whacked with the office visit charges, unless your insurance covers it. Mine did, but after six months my insurance company felt like my levels were good, and wouldn’t cover the prescription anymore. Once that happened, the doctor was scared to continue the prescription as he thought he might be investigated. He was a sports medicine doctor, very cool, but haven’t seen him since. I get all my gear through Eroid sources these days

My insurance stopped covering topical testosterone so I had to switch over to injectctions.

It's only insulin syringe, so I don't think it will be a problem. Suspended in grapeseed oil. I pin eod, in my quads alternating between the 2. So far 2 months now and no problems.
The clinic prescribes .15 ml every day. I chose to do less at eod.
I believe this is just a matter of test/blood levels stability.
Supposed to have 8 day half-life.

I started having the all day pump by end of week 2.

They never did, but it’s a thing these days. I wouldn’t do it. Especially with oils. Although, my boy just jumped on board and his doctor taught him to subq small doses. I gave him a 350 mg bottle of UGL Sust because he was running out of his Pharma to fast, and he got an infection when he subQ pinned it in his quad. So I guess it has to be Pharma grade to subQ. He explained it to me but I pretty much ignored him and taught him intramuscular pinning, He never went back to his doctor for gear, only for bloodwork.

JakeKO's picture

Are you injecting intramuscular or Sub-Q?

slowgainz71's picture

I don't know. The needle on the insulin syringe is a half inch long. I put it in my quad. I have no fat on my legs.

JakeKO's picture

I guess that’s fine if you have no fat and keep the volume low. I would up it to 25g/1.5” for anything more than 1cc. Ya need to get in there to prevent infections

Get some bloodwork done then you will know. Running above TRT levels is not healthy in the long run.

slowgainz71's picture

yes, will do, however what exactly is the TRT levels...? because here I am a patient of a TRT clinic being prescribed 210 mg a week

Makwa's picture

TRT clinics are in for your money not your health. The more they prescribe the more money they make. They will prescribe test to anyone regardless of levels as long as you pay them. You need to see your GP.

Great example??? Pain clinics during the opioid epidemic

slowgainz71's picture

I'm sorry, you're right. I meant GP doctor for a regular script. That would cost much less than this TRT clinic. The clinic is nurse practitioner prescribing. And yes they don't care about my health at all.
The 210 mg a week dose comes from the prescribed .15 ml a day of test cyp 200mg/ml.
I decided on my own to use less. I pin .25 ml eod, which comes out to 175 mg a week.

Makwa's picture

They should have at least done some bloodwork there. Did you get any?

slowgainz71's picture

Yes, it was Dried blood spot testing (DBS). This is a kit that is mailed. It is done before treatment to determine whether they would treat you or not. Currently in my 9th wk of treatment and no post blood work done yet.

JakeKO's picture

That is actually a very strange amount for them to prescribe
