Your run of the mill pre contest prep is what I'm running. My diet consist on some days 600g of carbs, 40g of fat and 350g of protein. Other days its 200g of carbs, 80g of fat and 400g of protein. Also, I was doing 2-3 sessions of cardio 45 min apeice on step mill. When I had the time, I would do two workouts in a day. So, my point is gear helped, but ball busting dedication to training, diet and cardio is what has helped most.
4 gallons! I've done 3 gallons/day during my last week of contest prep and it made my head feel strange due to all of that water in my system. I can not see going more than 3.
I feel great with the four gallons. Besides taken camel pisses non-stop, I have no complaints. Not sure what exactly you expereinced but I definately appreciate the caution.
